It's been amazing but I am ready to be done with that universe after 2 years of this group and 6 years total of writing stuff for it, honestly. At some point it hits an point where we honestly can't top ourselves with the arcs we've already done.

Also pretty much only active here atm though I play a few other pet sites. Just too much to keep up on at once. I'm more around for the art+rp community aspects anyways.
Might end up on Sylestia a lot less come fall (unless covid messes that up) thanks to college work, but we'll see if I can actually hold myself to that hh)

I've been in a very slow prep with someone on Harry Potter for he last four months or so....its very slow but so farmy of Nicote got a budget for a pet and Draco got tortured by bellatrix so that was fun.

Heres four kinds of rpers: peeps who do nothing but go with the flow, peeps that dont reply at all, peps that help contribute to the storyline, and peeps that try to take over he r....I'm in the contributing group but sometimes feels like I'm taking over cuz no ones doing anything but sittinaround or only interacting wih one person for ages)

(Feel you on the same. I tend to either be a go with the flow or borderline takeover type (mainly because I don't like sitting around waiting for a plot to get forced, usually I fall into making one somehow just trying to find stuff to write in groups run by people who refuse to write any kind of story hook or plotline.
I try to contribute as much as I can in groups that have people willing to get actively involved so I'm definitely not trying to railroad, but I've run enough groups and when I can basically write paragraphs on even silly stuff, it feels like people either slide out of the group because it got too serious and wordy for them or they just let me run everything. I've only met a few people on this site that have stuck by me.
I have a lot of pet peeves regarding players and how groups get run too, so I try to not let it get the best of me. @_@
But yeah, as you've seen, I'm really dependant on setting for what I can actually come up with.)

There was a good one on the orphans of Maria that Espen started dull and might restart but hen some people went inactive and studd and Nicote never got to be murdered by his daddy and the orphans never actually got to go on the run....which sucked because it was prime. Too many people prob lol even I couldn't keep track XD
And then there are he owns where people dont writ enough or they write too much for bigger group rps)

(probably guilty of writing too much for groups but literally seen people writing full threads of prose in the most flowery, over-the-top fashion before on Flight Rising and it's so hard to follow even with a dictionary out, lol. I try to avoid that honestly)

(Worst is when half of it isnt even necessary wording.......like wth I had a charscter that's kidna sorts mute in a way so he cant relaly talk so .......like hes usually hiding in the background so what do I do, have him talk to a squirel with telepathy or soemthing?)

(I have a partially mute character that became that way out of an injury and outside of writing internal thoughts, writing things out for people in rp, or making hand gestures, he usually just hangs in the background, lol. Not much to write for him when he's got nothing to say.
Purple prose is annoying. If it's relevant, sure, have fun, but most of the time you don't need to write three paragraphs about their appearance, their actions, whatever. I'd rather rp with the person writing a barely a sentence or two, more or less they are straight to the point, provided I have enough to work with to reply back.)

(Same that's why I usually put two or three in a rp cuz a lot of peeps have the "decent length" rule including me so.....:p)

(having multiple characters interact with each other is the best way to solve the length bit because you are forced to develop character interactions. Much more satisfying than talking about how deep a character's angst at their past or how beautiful they are, lmao.
I just like to have mine bicker constantly.)
