The tiger made a small chuffing noise, and took a step back. It looked up at you with a degree of curiosity, and a certain intelligence in its eye. You're fairly certain that this beast can understand you.

What do you wish to do?

a) Attack it
b) Continue speaking
c) Attempt to pet it cautiously
d) Pet it recklessly
e) Walk away slowly
f) Run away
g) Other

B) Continue speaking in the same way I would speak to a person who understands my language but can't speak. Tell a bit about myself and why I'm exploring.

The creature bounced a little in its spot, and then swung down branches until it landed on the ground before you. Now, you were able to get a good look at it. The grin had disappeared, but its wide black eyes were still excited. In contrast to its brown skin, it had dark red hair that was more like a matted mess than actual hair. There were two bolts lodged in the lower lip of the creature, as well. There were no visible ears. The strangest thing, though, was perhaps the body. Extending from normal-looking, but also expensive, clothing, was a mostly mechanical arm, and a mechanical foot. It was the metal hand that clicked rhythmically, though it stopped when it landed before you.

"Come with me. I protect you," he said, and then took off running in the opposite direction.

What do you wish to do?

a) Say something
b) Follow him
c) Run from him
d) Attack him
e) Leave
f) Other

This tiger definitely understood you. It sat down and chuffed again in a non-threatening way. Then, it tilted its head, as if it was asking, 'What do you want from me?' and chuffed once more.

B) "Well, it seems interesting that I, named 'water-panther,' should meet you, an ocean-swimming tiger. Almost like Destiny. If you have no other important things to do, perhaps you'd like to come with me.
"Also, is there a way you can let me know what name I should call you?"

By the size of the tiger, you're fairly certain it's male, but there's no way for you to tell its name. The beast even gives its head what sort of resembled a shake. It seemed open to travelling with you, though, lifting its head a little at that.

What do you wish to do?

a) Continue speaking
b) Name the tiger
c) Pet the tiger
d) Walk away
e) Leave the ocean
f) Other

(Sorry about how late this reply is! Yesterday was awfully busy, and then I had a horrible head cold on top of that; I'm just now clear-headed enough to focus on Sacra.)

(Sacra is a world - kind of like a continent, really, but you're not able to leave the continent /shrug/. There are monarchies, yes, in certain places - such as dwarven clans. Dwarven clans usually operate under a monarchy, orcs are an anarchy, elven tribes are unique because they're usually theocratic, etc. Human villages are usually under a sort of mini-democracy. It's basically different, depending on where you are and what sort of beings you're with.)

Is the town Im currently in under someones rule?

(All you know is what Harren told you, which is that there's a lot of gangs, no merchants, and at the moment, no governor. So, from what he's told you, no, no one's taking care of the village.)

Harren shrugged and reached down to pull your bag out from under the bed and place it on top, where you could access it easily. "A mercenary? I'm sure you could fight some of the gangs off, but that won't bring in merchants, or buyers for that matter. More gangs will just spring up in their place. We've no governor here, you know."

Ylsonaa sighed. If theres other warriors or mercenaries around maybe, but it doesnt sound extremely likely from what hes telling me.. She thought. Are there any warriors or mercenaries around? Or anyone else who can fight? I dont think I can do much on my own but if theres others I could try.

A & D "I would be glad of your company. I don't know whether you want a name, but perhaps one will suggest itself. Let's try following the shoreline."
