Since the place you were currently at was quite a small place, the village down the road consisted of a pokecenter, a pokemart, and a couple of small houses. You could see nobody around.

There was nothing of interest. Your house was situated in a small clearing surrounded by tall grass and trees, and the only other house that was down a small dirt road you assumed was the professor's house. The dirt road continued on through the trees, and you could see the red of a pokecenter and the blue of a pokemart.

"The professor is in the lab. He'll be here in a sec." Ves said, pouring you a glass of water and setting it on the table in front of you. "I wouldn't take you to him, because the work he is doing is best not disturbed." However, as you look around the house you see no sign of a lab. You were sitting at a table in a small kitchen that occupied a fourth of the room, while a bed was in the right back corner of the room. The left half of the room was a huge shelf, and each slot had a label. In some slots there were pokeballs. Under the shelf, there was a small work bench with chemicals and a pokeball.

You walk down the dirt road and knock on the door. A man opens the door,smiling. "You're the trainer Professor Acacia wanted, right?"

"Let's see... You're from Hoenn, correct? The place with Team Magma and Aqua? Anyways, there have been 'shadow versions' of pokemon running around, causing problems in general. They're stronger than the normal ones, and they resist capture by any means. The professor is in the lab." However, as you looked around you couldn't see the professor.

You know nothing about the small village you currently were in and you feel a tiny twinge of regret of why you didn't go to someone who could tell you about this place. Obviously, there was no mall or fashion places in the simple village you lived in. Nobody was on the streets, so you striding down the middle of them did nothing.
