Blue looked towards the beach, but saw nothing. He swam coffee, perhaps to see if birds of ship were there. Then he noticed something going in the sand that was peculiar.

By now, Vertis was sending up puffs of sand via his nostrils. His large stature made it somewhat difficult to hide in a lot of places, but it was his first instinct on the wide-open sand.

After a moment of staring at it, he decided to say something. "Why do you hide in plain sight so?" He asked. He saw a large broken board that was perfect for his hoard. He reached out with his head and picked it up in his mouth.

Thief shook his head, then hissed, "They might bring you harm. Not that I care." He quickly tried to fly up again, but the weight of the keys held him down. Humans appeared, and were holding spears and nets. They shouted, and Thief's eyes open in fear. He found himself froze in panic, and yelped as a human threw a spear at him.

Swift sniffed. He didn't want to leave his hoard behind. He darted out of his tree hollow though and grabbed Thief's ring of keys. "Drop them," he squeaked. "Drop them so you can be free!"

Vertis let out a low growl. "It's called being panicked." He huffed a large amount of sand away from his mouth. "I was trying to hide but my instincts told me to intimidate."

"Leave my k- AHHH!" Thief jumped out of the way of the hands of a human and quickly dropped the keys. Thief opened his tail flap and gracefully flew into the air. He looked back, then forward. He didn't seem to care about the dragon that'd saved him. He just flew away. A single key dangled from Thief's talon. It was beautiful, the key. It was the one he'd just taken from the human just now.
