The slow descent of the plane and the excited chatter woke me, and I stretched out my arms above my head, releasing a yawn as my eyes drifted to the window. Almost immediately, I was sat upright, staring out at the incredible scene before me.

Wow... The island was there, in all its glory, amongst the cerulean sea. A shimmering speck of alternate colour, it stood out against the endless blue. This hardly seems real, it's a beautiful sight to behold.

As the plane juddered as it landed, the last pieces of hazy sleep were shaken from my system, replaced with an overwhelming excitement. We're finally here!

Piper, being in the isle seat, jumped up. She pulled her luggage down and grinned at the others. "Ready?" This is it.

".-- --- .--/ - .... .- -/ ... ..- -.-. ..." Sylver said. Naturally, Rhys, Sylver, and a few other people on the plane began clapping when the plane landed a few other people sighed in annoyance and some other people just joined in the clapping because they had no idea what was going on. ".-- . .-. ./ -.-. .-.. .- .--. .--. .. -. --./ .. .-. --- -. .. -.-. .- .-.. .-.. -.--" Sylver stated, Rhys nodding in agreement

[wow, that stinks]
[we're clapping ironically]

Laurel smiled, instinctively reading her thoughts. She could only focus on one person, and that one person had to practically be yelling their thoughts. "Hey now, we wouldn't have come to the school if we weren't ready."

Then she saw the second year and third year students get off their planes, already in their pristine, colorful uniforms. "On a second thought..."

Piper's eyes widened with a thought. "Omigosh, Syl-" she turned to Sylver. "Our last names are probably right next to each other, and we're both in the same year! That means You, me, and your cousin could be in the same room!"

"... ---/ .- .-. ./ -.-- --- ..-/ --. ..- -.-- .../ ... ..- .--. . .-./ . -..- -.-. .. - . -../ - --- ---?" Sylver asked her other friends.

[are you guys super excited too?]

Sylver said

[Actually, my cousin, Lolani is a second year, but it'd still be super awesome if we were roomates!]

(Annie had to go somewhere suddenly, 'important', she said - she wouldn't tell me where, even though she's my annoying older sister- (sorry Annie) so I'm taking over Laurel)

Laurel nodded. "Yes, why wouldn't we be? But there's also fear, and apprehension..." She got her own luggage down after Erin. "It's better than looking like a freak in front of...humans." It was kind of unsettling to think of her as not a complete human being.

"I wasn't usually around humans," Piper said. "But from what little I saw, they acted just like us, but without magic. Now, are y'all coming or not?"

She gestured for them to join her, then remembered to change her hair back to it's original color from the bright fuchsia shade it had been before. Smiling at the flight attendants who wished them a great year, she hurried down the stairs and waited at the bottom where the entire first year group clustered around a board of room assignments.

Laurel followed after her, climbing down the stairs after giving the flight staff a hasty wave and "Thanks!"
