Oh yeah! Before I forget... Does nurturing eggs/babies always take so long? I'm assuming you gotta rely on other peoples in order for the process to go faster than what it normally is..?

So i typed out a great response to your quesiton and it got deleted when i accienlty clicked an ad :P
Have you gone to the nurturing grounds to nurture? (Hatchery > help nurture or explore > nurture gorunds)
Eggs:
Too warm = cool
Too cool = warm
restless = turn
dirty = clean
hatchlings:
bored = play with it
slow = race
derpy = read
weak = work out
Some pets have nurture boosts on them, which gives extra scales. During fests you have small chances of getting fest items and essences rarely drop from nurturing . Stuff in the scale shop can sell well too, like lesser dyes, so I encourage newbies to nurture :)

BTW just in case you don't know healers are a scam and don't get your potions form the marketplace, get cheap high-level pets off trade broker and check out the player guides forum for the missions guide, that's an easy way to get free stuff without too much effort
I'm also willing to give away pets and avi items so let me know if you want one
Some random tips:
Breeding.....Well, you can't really make too much profit from it anymore unless you have a themed, stattered pet, or something of that sort. Most things don't sell if they don't have lot of visibles/restricted trait sets,, aren't themed, are dishwasher pets, etc. Also price above 500g cuz the Releasers do release anything for sale that is under that-we're trying to help the economy and make pets actually worth it again
Healers are a huge scam. Do not. Do not. But do missions-theres a guide here

Welcome to Sylestia! What is your favorite Sylesti species?
Anyway, the response to your question is yes. you can only nurture a pet once a day, so you must rely on other people to give your pet more nurtures. Every correctly nurtured pet matures by one hour.
Here's a tip: don't tame pets unless they're rare (2 trait points) or above, since they often can't sell for the trap price.
Here's a high-statted Ny'vene eggo for you to add to your party (be sure to get it genetically tested)!

I see you've met Orca, my fellow... forum frequenter xD
Eggs hatch in 72 hours on their own. Hatchlings grow up after 7 days (including the three days of being an egg). Every 5 nurture clicks ages them by one hour, but each person can only click an individual egg once a day.

I have, erm, quite a few spare pets, all in my hatchery. Some of them I can't give, but most are hatchlings and they have all been previously owned. They're themed.
