Meinke and VIyan were haning out at a park. Comparing brothers. Because that was what they did. While playing Scrabble. Which Meinke sucked at because he was just really bad at English, apparently.

"Oh c'mon, I was winning!" VIyan complained.

"For the 50th time this year." Meinke groaned. "Hi Phoenicia. How come you're not bothering Nicote, PhoenixBoy, or Lio? Did my brother kick you out of their basement again?"

"Nah. Akio's making his newest invention, Io and Atari are helping him program it apparently, and they asked me to come over to help debug or whatever. You wanna come with me, or?"

"You're asking the guy who is literally failing school and the guy who won a spelling bee to come instead of the pro hacker." Meinke noted.

Viyan shushed him "Definitely." he grinned. He'd rather not go home to his....interesting life.

She shrugged. "Akira's doing her internship thingy at the hospital and Dashiell has had his nose stuck in a puzzle book for a few hours, so, can't blame me for being bored, can you? C'mon."

Viyan fake-saluted, while Meinke quickly packed up the scrabble game and stood up. "let's go then."

(My drill team is now official going to be the laughingstock of the competition...beause our instructor is making us half-sing/say the main line of a well-known song wihie jumping and swaying and holding up our thumbs because apparently that's allowed...)

Phoenix walked out of the park and glanced at her watch's GPS, she'd been to the workship before but not often enough that she knew the route by heart yet. "You hear the news about the Wuhan virus murders?"

Meinke didn't watch the news . But Viyan did. And he started listing all the stats....because that was how his brain worked. (That's actualy me lol)
