Kind of like how we do it in the festivals. Let's use the Winter Fest as an example.
Just like you can 'Melt' a fressence, why can't we do something similar, like shell, to essences? Shell meaning take away the actual essence bit inside of them and make the 'shell' a scale to spend in the scale shop. I dunno ideas. I understand this would possibly make them have no worth, but I am getting to that.

It costs 50 'shelled' regular essences to create an enhanced essence.
It costs 15 'shelled' enhanced essences to create a mythical essence.

This is just me putting ideas onto paper, or in this case, forums.

Then the 'shells' are used either...
a) as another shop, the shell shop
or
b) can be turned into 10 scales
Shells would be able to be sold, like melted fressences, and they could go for a decent price.

The reason we have the frost essence exchange is because the pet made from sculptures are random in traits. It's just too powerful to have the ability to make better essences for the generator that would then be exactly what you want in traits and colors.

The frost essence exchange is also only something for the winter festival. Krin wants each festival to be unique from each other, with their own special things you can do during them. This would defeat the purpose of making winter fest special it its own way.

I wouldn't mind this if it took a considerable amount of regular essences. It could drive up their worth. It might also help reduce how many regular pets are made since people would be saving them for something special.
