Hey! I just joined this site a couple of days ago, I saw an ad on Flight Rising (which Ive played for a few years) and decided to give this a go.
Errrr so far the layout is a bit confusing but I like how in depth the customising seems to be for pets. Any advice is welcome!! C:

BTW just in case you don't know healers are a scam and don't get your potions form the marketplace, get cheap high-level pets off trade broker and check out the player guides forum for the missions guide, that's an easy way to get free stuff without effort

The advent calendar's out too, def do that.

Some random tips:

Breeding.....Well, you can't really make too much profit from it anymore unless you have a themed, stattered pet, or something of that sort. Most things don't sell if they don't have lot of visibles/restricted trait sets,, aren't themed, are dishwasher pets, etc. Also price above 500g cuz the Releasers do release anything for sale that is under that-we're trying to help the economy and make pets actually worth it again ;)

Healers are a huge scam. Do not. Do not. But do missions-theres a guide here

Welcome, Kuhal! I think you'll really like it here. I have a few tips to share to make your experience grand.

First things first, immerse yourself in this great community we have going on here. We pride ourselves on keeping our forums positive and player friendly. We don't usually have much negativity or toxicity. So don't be afraid to join clubs or roleplays and have fun!

Second things second, as you can see, we pride ourselves on our pets as well. Projects, max stats, and themes are usually the pets everyone looks to buy. So try avoiding breeding too much and then selling them for cheap. We've got the Releasers of Sylestia that will snatch the undesirable, cheap pets and release them. It keeps the economy healthy.

Third things third, quests and missions are great ways to earn gold. But don't miss out on our seasonal festivals. Those are a quick cash grab, too, what with the many events we have going on. At the moment, our fall fest is winding down, but the winter one is right around the corner. And don't forget to visit the fest zone to participate in the advent calendar. Many awesome things come from there as well.

Last things last, don't be afraid to ask for help. And now I have a gift for you. Take these two pets on your journeys. They will serve you well. And a little note on what elements to pick for your party. Water and light are both a big must, for your water is your tank and light is your healer. Pretty essential, just take it from me.

Like, what part of the layout is confusing?

Im not sure I understand, when I go onto the Trade Broker all I can see are items, how do I search for pets on there? Ive gone through the drop down lists but all I can see are consumables and avatar items etc

Ill definitely make sure to check out the festival stuff! And to be honest Id never say no to a free pet or item, so if its alright Id love one! Im still really unfamiliar with the species and genes and themes, I have no idea what makes a pet desirable or not haha

Hi! I do really like it so far, what Ive seen of the community seems really positive to me, and that usually makes a huge impact on if Ill hang around on a game or not :)
Its unlikely Ill get into the breeding any time soon, I have absolutely no clue about the genes or mutations or anything like that hahah, it seems a bit more complicated than what Im used to on FR
So far all Ive done is the main quest line after the tutorial, up to the troll cave and stuff, but Ill look into missions and festival things too!

I totally havent done either of those elements yet so Ill take that on board and make sure to utilise them!! Thankyou so much for the pets!! How do I go about receiving them? ^^;

Haha I guess there might be a few all happening at once!? I guess since I joined after seeing an AD chances are there were others too :D
I do have a couple of questions really, up in the top right is my avatar and all my currency info right, I know that theres gold and AP and diamonds, but I dont know what the rest of the icons mean. Theres a little egg, some scales, a brown almond thing, a bag etc.... sorry if thats a super dumb question haha, but could you tell me what they are?
And also if youre offering a pet or items Id love one! I feel like I have very little idea about what Im doing aside from the quests but the pets are all pretty cute so Ill prob end up collecting pets haha

If you want to search for pets that are for sale, click on the advanced search button, its at the top of the little side column thing
I highly recommend not buying a ton of pets early on, you should get maybe 10 or so in the beginning and then try to earn a lot of gold from missions or just finding chests in the trollsblight caverns so you can buy another stable for overflow.

also the brown almond thing under the gold is scales which you get from nurturing pets, you can spend them in the scale shop for stuff like pet dyes
(if you hover over the other icons it will tell you what they are)

oh and one more tip is that its a good idea to focus on maybe 3 different pet species until you have more room in your stables

Look for pets in the advaned search, or go to the pet sales forum.
