If one of my pets got a trait I didn't like, how would I change it? Some sort of mutator?

There are genetic muataors. For a price.
Or you can just rrlease the pet and get another if theres multiple issues. You can fubd a lot of some pets especially themed.

If the pet is themed (not PB), you can use a trait disruptor to shuffle the traits. E.g., disrupting a 2v exclusive themed will result in the pet having 2v with different traits.
Otherwise, you could buy a nullifier from the scale shop/broker to completely remove a trait you don't like. You'd not be able to recover the trait points after nullifying. E.g., if I have a 2v2c pet and nullify one of the vis, it'll become 1v2c and permanently lose those 2TP.
