I probably should know this by now because im level 60. Is there somewhere that shows my progress in my level so i know when my character will level up?

You level up alongside your pets. So, once a pet in your party levels up from 60 to 61, your user level will also increase.

That's actually an interesting way of doing it! Thanks for letting me know. I would have never guessed that's how it works.
