So I came across this site on a thread on another forum and decided to see if I had an account. I actually do. I am part ways through the tutorial and now I am worried about "messing up my account,"

Also a LOT has changed.

Are pet IDs worth anything on this site? Just wondering before I pick my pet's element and mess him up. And are there any easier to understand guides or preferences for the element choice? I was reading the tutorial and some other stuff in the help forum about it, but there just seems to be SO MUCH to comb through as a "new" person its a bit overwhelming.

Also want to say I love the art of the pets.
I enjoy drawing and am currently in Uni.

and pet id just refers to which number the pet is when it's made so the first pet ever made on the site would have an ID of 1 the second would have an Id of 2 and so

(so your starter for example is the 84th pet tamed/made/bred on the site)

We are a dying breed. So few of us remain. xD

edit: Yea, ID numbers aren't too coveted here. It may mean something to collectors if you have an interesting numbered pet like 4,000,000 or 1,111,111 or something like that, though. Also you can change a pet's element/proficiencies at any time by paying a bit of gold. So you don't have to worry about "ruining" anything.

Edit: It says I have 15 forum pings. Where are they? I see you two pinged me, but....

If you look at the top left corner in the "banner" You can see you av and other stuff there's icon and the blue @ as you already know is there click on the number. :) It will bring you where they are or you can go to social than click on forum and then it should be at the top. :)

Sorry, for my English it isn't my first language.

Look to the bottom right of this post, for example. You'll see a little yellow/orange speech bubble and a blue @ sign. If you click the speech bubble you'll quote that post in your response. If you press the @ button you'll ping that person. Pinging someone on the forums lets them know that you've replied to them so that they don't have to stalk each thread they've been in. You can add multiple pings by manually putting in names and separating them with a comma in the "Ping Users" text box when you reply.

I wasn't seeing them displayed at the top of the page as pings for events were covering them and mixed into them.
