It seemed every morning he was up earlier then the sun itself, forced to carry a candle with him as he went to change. The black and bright blue suit he wore fit him well as did the black cowboy hat he wore. Silver hair still cascaded about his shoulders though forcing him to pull it back into a ponytail in order to keep it out of his eyes. Sighing the young man rolled his shoulders some to stretch, heading back to the bedroom where his husband still slept. They had been here nearly a year and no one knew about them yet. Many thought they were just roommates, living together to split costs but no one knew the real reason. With a slight smile the younger man kissed the man's forehead before taking up his pistol and bow and heading out the door. The town was just starting to wake up, same as it did every day. He yawned some as he made his way to the sheriffs office, unlocking the door once he was there. Another day in Sumset...andother day to make the world better for those that lived it it.

Viviani nudged her brother awake..."I gotta check the cattle" she told him throwing on her boots and messing up his hair.He mumbled something about making sure the horses hadn't run off.She laughed and nodded,"Sure will" it was still pretty dark outside of their tent,they hadn't gotten any land yet.She still had to talk to the banker bout that,but the cattle seemed pretty okay with staying in the general area."Shoul've brought a herding dog" she told herself saddling up her horse getting ready to count the cattle

Desta rubbed Loki down her stall while Duke waited patiently. Loki whinnied causing Desta to rub a but faster. "Impatient horse.'' Desta muttered. Duke grabbed his bowl and stood outside the stall. Desta finished rubbing Loki down and went to get the horse's breakfast. Duke followed with the bowl in his mouth. Duke dropped the bowl at Desta's feet and ran toward the sheriff. Duke snuck up on the sheriff and lightly barked right behind him.
"What is Duke up to now?" Desta muttered and got the hay for Loki.

Colt was already up, and had risen before the sun. He was currently traveling horseback on the old mare Beth, who tossed her head as they entered the main part of town. He was just there to pick up supplies for repairing the horses' stalls and some food for them and his family. Colt hopped off Beth and tied her reins to a post before entering the general store.

When the kiss was placed on his brow he couldn't help but smile lightly. Leave it to the kid to make it hard not to like him. He waited until the door was closed downstairs before he himself woke and dressed in the rather fancy gold and black vest with its white tunic underneath. Yawning a bit Dorian fixed his hair as well and mustache before heading down stairs and opening the bank. It wasn't ideal living arrangements but it was better than nothing and it was easier to watch the bank if you lived in it.

As the dog barked he jumped some. It was only a dog...only a dog. Taking a breath he turned to the animal. "Hey there boy." He said happily offering a hand for the dog to sniff. "What are you up to this morning? Besides scaring the sheriff."

Duke sniffed the sheriff and looked up at him then back at the barn. Duke wagged his tail and walked with the sheriff.
Desta was watering Loki. "Where did he disappear to now?'' She asked Loki.
Loki only shook her head.

"You're a good boy aren't you? Say you got a name? If Dorian didn't have a things against dogs I'd be the first to volunteer to take you home." The silver haired man said patting the dog on the head. "Want to help me set up shop? Get to see if the mail carrier brought in anything."

Duke wagged his tail and nessled in a little closer. He barked softly and nodded at the word name.
Desta finished her chores with Loki. "Now to go find Duke." Desta searched the barn then went outside holding Duke's food bowl. "There is a so much easier way to do this." She poured a little bit of food into Duke's bowl.
Duke perked his ears up but he stayed with the sheriff.

"I have a feeling that that is your owner, why don't you go back to them?" The silver haired man asked looking down at the dog with a cocked eyebrow. "Or do you want to be the new sheriff's assistant."

Duke wagged his tail and lightly barked.
