Hello! I think I started a few days ago, but this site is already bookmarked. It's such a cute site!

I have a bunch of noob questions like, how long does it take for a pet to become an adult, why does it cost so much to rename a pet (not that I need it right now), what's the highest level your pets can get to, why breed pets when I can just buy them and do quests with them? Also, I'm really surprised that the banner image says beta! Will beta end at some point?

I'm Galaxy, and I'm here to answer some of your questions ^^

First, it really depends on your pet's current age and how you obtained them. It takes roughly 3 days for a eggling to become a hatchling, 6 days for a hatchling to become an adolescent and another 18 days for an adolescent to become an adult. (Phew, that's a lot of waiting!) However, you can use magical pies on adolescent pets to speed up the process. (Those can be very expensive though)

Secondly, you can't rename pets without a Philter of Amnesia, which is obtained in the diamond shops (so again pretty expensive). I guess that just means you'll have to think carefully about the name for your pets lol.

Thirdly, the highest level a pet can be right now is level 70.

Finally, on breeding pets. I had the same question when I was a newbie! Breeding pets can give you much more variety and beauty than if you wanted to capture them from the wild, if you're into that stuff like I am. Also, you can create your own designs and have them made into a real pet, something that's super satisfying imo ^^

However, breeding projects do take a while to complete and are easier to attempt when you are further into the game with more gold and resources.

For the sylestia beta stage, krin has made many announcements that they are moving sylestia out of beta, but when exactly it will be and how it will happen is still out of my knowledge, sorry ;^^

Hello Galaxy, thank you so much for your reply. You answered all my questions so I'm pretty thrilled about that. I have lots of things to aim for; lvl70, cool clothes, prettier pets! lol. Sylestia's Beta is pretty amazing too, there are so many features that games out of their betas wouldn't even have!

So it's almost a month in total for an egg to become an adult. It's longer than I thought but it makes sense when you think about it. No wonder my starter pet couldn't breed right away (although my randomly caught starter could!). I figured out the search pretty quickly and bought a bunch of really old pets to experiment with, so I'm happy for now.

It's a shame about the naming philter being so expensive. I named all my pets (which I'm happy with), but afterwards I might start to worry about naming new ones because it's so costly to change my mind. It feels like Sylestia is trying to penalize me for naming my pets haha ahhh the stress! I hope it changes in the future... I'm a bit used to Flight Rising where the renaming scrolls are one of the cheapest items you can buy.

Cool, I'm not the only one! I think I will also leave the breeding until I'm a more confident player. I did notice that the wild pets weren't as nice as a lot of the bred pets, which also makes sense XD

My favourite part of the game is the world map and quests. I also like the combat system because it's all there on the screen and the turns are fast. My attention span and sense of adventure likes both of these things.

I don't even know if I've seen all the types of pets yet, but I really like the Ryori and Vulnyx pets. My favourite colours are a bit over the place, but generally black, white, red, blue (not in that order and not all together). Also when colours just work together with the ones around them.

Sorry guys, I just read through both of your posts and I need to correct something important.

The philter of amnesia is not expensive at all. They are actually quite easy to obtain. You do not need to spend diamonds in the diamond shop for philters of amnesia!!! In fact, you probably should not be spending your diamonds on that item if you have diamonds.

You get philters of amnesia from the SCALE shop and you earn scale currency by nurturing any eggling or hatchling. It costs 500 scales per name change, which means you only need to nurture 500 pets to change their name (something that can easily be done in less than an hour if you know how the nurturing system works).

Hope this helps. Please don't go to the diamond shop to rename your pets unless you feel you need to.

Yep, the naming has become a bit of an issue for me, so I often see the pets' names and think of how cringy they are, or just leave many pets Un-named lol.

Well, for the breeding, if you want to breed, then go ahead~ There are pretty wild pets in the wild too, and you don't have to start a project every time you want to breed some pretties...This girl, for example, was caught in the wild and one of my absolute favorites. I'm sure you'll find some that you love :)


Ooh! Quests and battles! In that case, I won't be much assistance to you since I'm not much of a battler...you might want to talk to Amarok (who just appeared to correct us of our mistake xD)or Scathreoite, they are users that are very experienced in battles and have also helped me a lot ^^ Amarok Has a sylestia walkthough, linked here https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=44033.

To see all the sylestia species, go to Generator under the explore tab of the game, and youll be able to see and design all the pets you like :)

I'm still getting used to navigating the site, so I've only been to the scale shop once and didn't really put much attention on the items (after looking at my tiny pile of 16 scales). This is really good to know, I feel a lot better about renaming my pets now that I know I can get do it fairly easily when I need it.

My avi is a bit bland right? Every time I think about making changes, I'm always on the mobile. I really can't sort it out well on the mobile for the colours or selecting what to wear. The list of things to look at in the wardrobe is also mind boggling! I, err, haven't even found out where to buy new clothes.... other than using AP to buy some things inside the wardrobe. I honestly have no idea what I'm looking for, or what I want to look like (other than dressing more like a guy than a girl). I will have to play the game a little more before I can tell you what kind of clothes I might like XD

Your avatar is absolutely amazing. I noticed it right away and thought 'whoa, this person is a pro' or something lol! The pinks and greens blend really nicely, it's a great outfit you've made! It's very eye catching. Oh shizzle, I just remember that I've been talking about me for ages and forgot to ask about my new friend (you!). What do you like most on the site, or what do you do the most on here?

That's also something else I wanted to ask... So, about our user levels, is it somehow related to our highest level pet. I wonder, if I somehow got a level 60 pet, would my user level jump up? Or does it only increase as we/I actually earn these levels by making a pet stronger?

Wow that's a great wild pet! The bright blue on the natural brown colours just make it stand out so much more. I saw a pet I liked the other day, but alas I am still saving up for my third party slot. I should have it sorted when my next mission ends (yesss mini goal 99% complete!) and then I can focus on catching a few :) I think I'll leave breeding till later and just collect the pets that I really like, like your wild lady.

Hmm, I think I thought that retreating from battle was bad because it was a red button? So I just battled everything till now. Well battling is fun, but who know I might be doing it wrong haha. Welcome...Myself I did that do and moved in less than 2 months got access to the lost Grove...xD I came during summer so I had a lot more time...I still have more time than normal adults xD.

I got lucky in brief...If I had had a job, I probably wouldn't be where I am...xD
