This beginners guide is pretty old, but it covers lots of things and I don't think too much is out of date. Everything on there about leveling up and building a party should probably just be ignored though since the system was overhauled.
And this is a guide to the battle system. It's very thorough and has a lot of information, but does a good job of going through everything step by step.
