This is where I've been hiding out this last month or so...I have one left to catch to fill my pokedex...just waiting for my Type:Null to evolve...this thing is an ugly pain. :( Even with a soothe bell.
Managed however to hatch a shiny feebas today and got it evolved to Milotec, and while I was just running around, found a shiny Tentacool. Not really looking for shinies until I get the charm..but, I cant complain. xD
Anyone else out there get something cool in either sun or moon recently? Kinda wish I could have a regular good ole fashioned vulpix but I shall settle with Snow White.
@Krinadon Oops, this was supposed to go under off topic, could you move please and thanks?

Moon player here, avid shiny hunter myself. Although I haven't really been actively playing it as much. It's been sort of on/off lately as I'm in the middle of a soft reset session for a shiny Type:Null after my second playthrough.
Before that though I had quite a few successful shiny hunts. I think one of my proudest is Cheesecake, my shiny Wimpod, which was just pure soft resetting without a shiny charm.
My other big ones are Vynay, my shiny Smeargle, who I use for chain shiny hunting, and Aurum [Shiny Magikarp] and Gregg [Shiny Talonflame] who I use for magikarp/masuda method. Nothing like a team of shinies to help you hunt for more shinies. :p
For actual sun/moon shinies I have there's Dandelion [lillipup] and Azurite [carbink] who were random stumble-upons, actually. Dandelion was completely random, and I was actually trying to chain a sableye when I got Azurite instead.
Successful chains were Marcee [morelull], Rubus [alolan rattata], Technicolour [toucannon], and Avens [ribombee]. Technicolour and Avens were both pre-shiny charm, but Marcee and Rubus were post.
And then successful eggs were Vermillion [toxapex], Henry [drampa], and Clementine [stufful]. Vermillion and Henry were both pre-shiny charm.
And then there's my other three boxes of shinies brought up from games before sun/moon, but that's not sun/moon.
@LadyMoriarty
Also, Mori, I can breed you a non-alolan Vulpix if you want? We'd have to exchange friend codes for the trade but I have an old fashioned vulpix to breed more from.

How do you get a non-alolan ninetales? Oh I want want of those :D I have no idea what or where the friend code is or I would gladly share. :D
I found out I am about 9% short of completing the dex. I still have to find/catch two more Tekus...managed to find Cosmog-tho not particularly thrilled about lunala, I am really hoping to spend more quality time shiny hunting for sure....but.. also want to defeat Red (battle-tree area) so I am far from being done with moon I suppose. xD

Yep, I gotta go after that Null as well, but...not until I get the shiny charm. Before that, it would be a waste of time I think? So many resets... I have quite a few I need to list that I want to shiny hunt for, but #1 would be magikarp. I love me some yellow floppy fish xD.
You both have had lots of luck with the shinies. I forgot to add, I do believe I also have a shiny eevee of some sort somewhere in my box. Been awhile since i played with it, been so busy trying to fill my dex, almost there!
You are both welcome to the friend codes, if I can find where its at...i shall go google, and then return. Just let me know if yall need any feebas, or anything else. I am hunting for the prism scales to go with em, but its pretty time consuming.

Code here is 0705 - 2202 - 8537. ovo9 I'll get started on breeding you a vulpix now - gotta go all the way back to the daycare instead of standing in front of Gladion all day.
I would definitely recommend getting the shiny charm before starting the soft resets for shiny Type:Null. I've already gone through so many resets with no luck myself, I can't imagine the wait without the charm. Unless you get ridiculously lucky. I don't know which one I'll go after once I get my Null though... It's been so long since I've done anything but this Null I've forgotten all my hunt plans.
A magikarp is really good to have, actually! That is if you like masuda or just egg hatching method. Especially a shiny magikarp - if only for the novelty of using a shiny to get more shinies. Do you know of magikarp method?
Oooo.... Maybe I'll start an Eevee hunt, actually. One I don't have, and would want. If I feel really up to it I could even hunt a few down, if only ot have shiny eeveelutions as well. Look at you, getting me really into wanting to play again after I got burnt out soft resetting for this dang Null.

Added ya. Not sure how to trade via friend list, but Ill figure it out :) I was watching a video last night, someone did over 1500 soft resets for Null..i had to ask myself if I really wanted it that bad....of course I do! xD
As far as breeding for shinies, I much prefer Masuda method, I think I glimpsed over the magikarp and thought it too complicated, lol.
There are a LOT of pokemon I want shinies of, Im going to have to make a list when I am ready lol. I was really shocked at the shiny feebas I got to hatch, my eggs are kind of mixed around in the boxes, and thought I pulled out a Sharpedo egg....guess not lol!

It's a Link Trade in the Festival Plaza over wi-fi. Adding each other makes sure that we show up on each other's guest lists there.
Speaking of that, your Vulpix hatched female. Any particular thing you want her nicknamed?
1500 SRs sounds about right. Feels like I've done about that amount, honestly. 9m9 Hopefully that means my own little golden Null shows up soon.
Magikarp can be a little tricky but it's infinitely faster. I do a mix of masuda and magikarp myself. Admittedly I find chaining a bit more fun, especially with my smeargle, but that is a little limited to whats available in sun/moon. If I want to do any hunts outside the sun/moon pokemon I tend to go back to egg hunts.
There are a Lot of shinies out there I still want honestly.... With the friend safari from x/y I did manage to get quite a few but there's still so many. I'll probably go through and re-make my own list in a bit... And go through and doublecheck which ones I already have. Did a quick skim and found I have 4 shiny nincadas from the x/y friend safari. What am I going to do with 4 shiny nincadas?
