Has anybody ever tried it?

Basically, I have a number of hypothetical questions and I'm hoping somebody has answers. (I'm guessing probably not because disruptors are so expensive, but still.)

Anyway, questions:

1. The hoverbox description of a Philter of Trait Disruption says "Use this on a Themed Pet..." and gives no other usage qualifications. Since it doesn't specify exclusive themed, I'm left to believe that it would also work on a tamed themed pet. Is this true? And if it is...

2. How would the randomization affect carried traits? The philter description also says, "The same amount of Traits will be re-allocated." If I used it on, say, a 4-carry epic themed, would the script spit out four randomized carried traits or would the allocation of GP also be randomized, allowing the possible combination of two visible traits or one visible trait and two carried traits?

3. If a tamed themed pet has been mutated, could it still be disrupted?

4. If a tamed themed pet is disrupted first instead, could it still be mutated?

Have not tried it (because disruptors are expensive like you said)

But technically,

1. It should work on tamed themed pets that are not bred.

2. I'm not sure, but my guess would be that it'll maintain the type of GP, so a 4-carry will still remain a 4-carry with different traits. Since when we disrupt a 2vis pet, it still remains 2vis instead of other combinations. Or like the majestic flower pets without fertiliser are 2 carry, and I believe they remain 2 carry after disruption and not 1vis. But that's just my guess.

3. Technically yes, so long as they have not been bred.

4. Technically yes, since disruption does not affect mutators.

Hey, thanks for answering!

A lot of those were my suspicions, too. I mean, they make sense, but I didn't know if anybody could confirm for sure. I guess I might have to be the one to try it, lol. I have this one legendary nyte, and I might disrupt him after they're revamped if there's a newer trait I really want, but he's a 2-vis, 2-carry.

I think most people go for mutators to get a new trait they want on a tamed themed pet, since it's cheaper and guaranteed. Unless the pet has already been mutated...

I did use a disruptor on this girl: https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=2014014, when I first got her since she was carrying a trait I really didn't like. She had two carries, and it gave me two carries. She can be muted still. I've never tried a disruptor after muting a pet and doubt I ever will. That just seems a bit backwards to me. I don't usually mute a pet unless I have a project in mind, so the pet would end up being bred.

Hope that helps.

I asked Faiona about this. She said that players can use this type of Philter on both Exclusive and Tamed Themed pets, even if (in the case of Tamed) the pet has been Mutated. Basically, if your un-bred Themed pet has two trait points, and you use a Greater Mutator to give it two more trait points, a Disruptor will rearrange all four points.

@Wonderfulb2uty

Sometimes, unfortunately, they come pre-mutated from the previous owner, and if it's an older theme and you want a certain trait...

@Faeyla

That helps a lot. Thank you!
