i don't know it it would be posibel with code's and all but i realy hope so.

there are more and more cheap unwanted pets and this is not a good thing.
so would it be posibel that cheap pets up for public sale get auto-released afther like 24 hours?
what i would see as cheap pets is everything under 10k (i would like to puch it to 15k but i already know a lot of people will most likely hate me for saying this)

this will clean out a lot of unwanted pets and hopefully make people rethink about the value of pets.
and when pets get there value back people my make whiser choices on breeding (so no more useles masse breeding) and yes it will mean new playes can't afored everything it will mean they have to work for it when they want something nice (so it would go back to how things have bin. withs i consider a good thing, if people have to work to get something so they realy have to earn it it makes them apriciate it more.

I have seen this suggested in the past and fully support it, though the idea needs a few tweaks :p here are my thoughts~
- Push the expiration to 3-7 days? I think if it is going to be released without an additional warning that it should have a bit longer of a chance to be purchased
- Give the player something in return. If my pet was being released without "me" doing it, I would want a little something back. I know space is one thing, but maybe you get 5k if over 10 pets are auto-released. Though, there may be a bit of a problem of players abusing this to get 5k every 3-7 days. (although that wouldn't be to much gold, and probably wouldn't dent the economy.)
- A warning would be nice. Some players might not know/remember this feature.. And want to take their pet down before it is released. Maybe you get a pop up 24 hours in advance saying "Your pets will be released if not purchased by -state time here-)

If this still wouldn't work, I had an alternate idea. I have seen it suggested before also~

- Have a base pricing system. This way a pet could not be priced to cheaply in the first place (with a little option to have as a gift, of course, where you have to enter a player ID)

Yes a few days extra would be nice and a warming system maby. I was more thinking like a red tekst in your stabel and hatchery. Just as there is nou in you hatchery about having pets become adult when you don't have space. And that is aldow why i don't want a rewade system. There are a lot of people how are to lazy to read. Ore just don't care but will be bothering others about it while if they had read or used logic or had asked about those kind of things they would have know. And i don't want to go and rewaded people for bad behaver. Pluse then people will start to expert a rewadered for the auto-released pets from there hatchery as well and this will be abused for surten. And if you realy want some pet back you can always buy them back with the 50 diamonds.

And i know about the minimum sale price idea had plenty of talkes about it. Including that the minimum sale price would chance if the pet is fabled and or had more traits and when it has more vis traits. With the exeption of prived sales. But this turns out to be very difecult. So there for now a diverent aprotes to the problemen. And there is aldow the idea of there coming an ncp that wil take your pet and that you would get scales for it or something like that. But nothing is going to happen anytime soon becaus of the up coming spring fest and afthere that mega zone. But maby something like this is easyer to do becaus there is already something silmuler with the hatchery releas.

I like this idea. I disagree with players being compensated (5K for every 10 auto-released for example). This would definitely be abused and the servers may or may not have difficulty with so many breedings. Mass breeding would be worse and it will definitely dent the economy. Some people have thousands of pets, even hundreds would mean there are hundreds of breedings every 3 days from players abusing this system.

All in all, I think more release contests and some kind of auto-release for cheap pets would be good and might solve some problems.

I would say 1k once every two weeks. Releasing those would keep prices down, but new players could still get a pet. When I was new, I had to always look for pets under 500g, but if those were gone I would have almost have starting base to get started from.

Also, what about themed pets? If it was 10k and below it would get tried of a ton of themes. Most people sell them at trap price or a little above. Using a trap that cost 7500 g and adding a 1k finding fee would leave the price at 8500g. That pet would then get released, diminishing the theme bloods.

Well I can see this raising the theme's values :) people would reconsider the pricing based on demand. And I like those alterations, I think 1k every 2 weeks sounds good. And to Fox's statement, I guess I hadn't realized how many pets some people have o: I can see how that would become a problem

I do not support this idea. People should be free to price pets as they want. Also only removing cheap pets is wrong to new players who depend on cheap pets.

I always have some cheap pets around just in case a newbie ends up liking one. Also there are many pets people won't buy at a price about 10 k but would buy underneath. For some people it's also a source of gold inkome around here, and a way to maybe make some gold while they are offline for longer periods of time.

The pets they have for sale can stay for sale while they are gone, unlike items they put for sale.

It's much more player friendly to not mess with this freedom.

Instead I would more support release competitions that reward releasing, opposided to manual releases that punnishes players for putting pets for sale.

Games during festivals where pets are bought and released by players for prizes is a much friendlier way to go about this I think.

because 1: You have an extra game which is always fun 2 you do not mess with the freedom of the players 3 even with competitions and games likes this there will still be enough cheap pets for new players 4 people still get some gold for their cheap pets, or if they release them themselves during games, a chance at a prize so it doesn't all feel like nothing or a waist or unfair.

There are, I believe, plenty of ways to get rid of some cheap pets, withoud forcing the matter on players who don't wish to price their pets more expensive.

If you force releasing, there is a chance people will just make the prices of their cheap pets to be just above the release pricing to avoid pets getting released. This means the amount of pets for sale that few people want will not decrease, they will just all get more expensive. That doesn't help anyone nor does it accomplish what some players actually want.

We need to keep the wishes of all players in mind, including the beginners with little gold to spend on pets, as well as those who prefer to have their pets for sale at cheaper prices over just releasing them.

I get the problem. I do. I just don't think forcing a release system on pets that are for sale is the best way to go about it when there are other options available that do not discriminate against newer players or players who don't want to be forced to price their pets higher then they actually wish to do.

Releasing Games/contests with prizes are, to me, a much more fun and friendly way to go about it, because at least this way nothing is forced and in a way everybody wins.

I think I remember hearing Krin say in gen chat before that there's going to be an npc that you could turn eggs and pets in for scales. It might be on hiatus until after the site revamp though. I think he also had plans on cutting down hatchery space unless you expanded it like stables.
