How do I know if any of my pets are themed? I see people on the pet action saying "Buy my themed pets!!1!"
and I have no Idea what that is all about. PLEZ X-PLANE

Themed pets are special, they're rare and found only in festivals. They will not have any heritage, and you will either catch them or receive them from some sort of event. (Jinxie's Candy Basket, Mojo Contests, etc.) you can tell it's a themed pet in a few ways:
1. If you go down to the pet info, in bold purple letters it should say [Theme] [Species]. For example, a Moonlight Chill Bulbori would say 'Moonlight Chill Bulbori' in bold purple letters right above the pet genetics.
2. This one's probably used more for purebred pets, aka PB, which is the result of when you breed either two themed, one themed and one purebred, or two purebred. However, breeding two different themed's together is not considered Purebred, but it is fun to see the combos they sometimes make. If you check lineage, both parents, or somewhere down the line, there will be sylesties with golden stars. Those are themed pets.
If you encounter a themed pet in the wild (this only happens during festivals, in the festival zone.), instead of saying 'You have Encountered an Enemy' in the battle log, it will say 'You have encountered a Rare Enemy'. Note that the text is actually purple, but I put it as pink so as not to fish for a colored hex code.
Additionally, as of now themed pets are only found during festivals, even by exclusive means. I've heard that there may possibly be an addition of themed pets found while nurturing, but this is not currently possible and may never be.
One other thing, I might list the ways you can find a pet exclusively or through the fest zone.
Fest Zone:
-Find one in the wild
-Find a nest
-Defeat the Headless Horseman, possibly getting a Halloween Egg. (Only for the Fall Festival)
There are also Zombie pets, which can only be encountered during a zombie wave of the Headless Horseman event.
Exclusive Means:
-Eggling Auction
-Getting your themed design picked; the prize is usually a themed of the fest.
-Any sort of Wars. Basically, this is a game Faiona hosts on fests. It's like battleship, and only eight people get chosen each time. There are all sorts of exclusive prizes during this game.
-Jinxie's Basket
-Trick-or-Treating, though it's a small chance, if you open a handful of candy, you could get a Candy Corn Ryori.
-Mojo Contests
-Haunted House
Note: These are fall Festival things, either exclusive to this fest or possible in all of them.

Thanks? That was a lot for my brain to wrap around. So You only get them from mogo, chocolate coins, and jinxi? That is a rhetorical question so don't reply.

Sorry for making it so long XD I tried to sum it up, but it's a lot for a new player to just learn, like if you joined Pokemon now, as there are a lot of types and things to find out as well as over 700 Pokemon. Don't worry, if you love Sylestia, one day it'll come to you naturally. XD I mean, I haven't been here for two years for nothing, have I?

Can you tell me the difference between exclusive and themed. I've noticed that themed pets are listed separate from exclusive. Also, what are you supposed to do with them. I noticed that some people try to breed a 6-vis for them but I thought the babies were no longer themed.
Also what does it mean when it says a pet is regenerated or is able to do that. I see some themed pets with that ability.

As said, exclusive pets are not found in the zone, and often only from things such as mojo contests or the Haunted House. Themed pets are purely just for bragging rights, but some who like challenges do breed six vis; or those who designed a certain theme. Babies may no longer be themed, but as long as they have the blood of just the themeds, they are considered PB which may have higher value than an actual themed.
Pets can be regenerated if they were revamped. Since there are a few species which have been revamped thus far, those are the only ones with pets possible to be regenerated. Usually, when a revamp comes around genes and mutations are changed from slot to slot so the option is to change it, as the whole gene thing changed and it would not work if it stayed the same. This is not only for themeds, but themeds have more value when they can be regenerated.

Exclusive pets are generated 'special' themed pets and have better base stats than a tamed Sylesti. I believe they usually have only visible traits.
Themed pets have normal stats and can have a mix of visible or carried traits at random.
When people start 'themed breeding projects', they want make really good looking pets by only using bonafide tagged pets to make a pet with all visible traits. Yes, the babies don't have the special tags, but purebred babies are worth some gold.

Thank you both for the information. It helps. There is so much to learn on this site it can be difficult to understand. I'm still trying to figure out the festival area. My fighting skills really need work and I have no clue what a nest is lol.

Take your time to get used to the site. The game can be quite overwhelming at first, especially since now there is a festival going on, so there are more things going on than usual. =P
There are a lot of player-made guides that can help you understand the game better, such as how to gear and level up your pets, and an introduction to festivals in general. And whenever you have any questions, you can ask in this forum or in the general chat. People are generally friendly and helpful here. =)
and regarding the nest, there are a few spots in the festival zone that will occasionally spawn a nest icon instead of a crate/pumpkin. When you interact with the nest, it'll give you an egg of a themed pet of that festival.
