I have Eczema and I HATE it. Today I had an annual checkup at the pediatrician and she said that some dry reddish areas with scabs looked a little infected.
But I'm so itchy. I can't stop scratching. I. Just. Can't. Now the front of my body has a bunch of bumps and some wettish stuff.
Help me! :(
Any tips to help lower the itchiness? I can't sleep because of this either.

Take a warm-cold shower, never hot. Immediately after you shower PAT dry yourself off, don't ever ever rub. After quickly pat drying put generous amounts of the strongest and non-perfume body lotion you can find where the patches are.
Don't ever use hot water on your skin. Try taking a luke-warm bath and soak your skin in the water. If you have eczema on your hands make sure you put lotion on your hands immediately after you wash your hands. If it's cold outside lotion your skin as soon as you get into a warm place, and it's not a bad idea to soak in water beforehand either.
Soaking in water and sealing the water into your skin with strong non-scented lotion works because eczema is essentially a skin condition where you lose moisture in your skin easily. I have a small patch of eczema on each of my hands and I find that this is the best solution to soothe the skin. My eczema isn't bad enough that I need prescription lotion and what I described is sufficient for me but everyone is different. Hope this method helps at least soothe it for a short period of time.
Whatever you do, do not scratch. Wear socks on your hands if you have to.

I have excema every winter :( I recommend going to a local pharmacy and getting lotion for it. Not scratching is also a good idea.

I have it real bad on my inner arms.
When I start getting really itchy, i'll take an ice pack with a dishtowel wrapped around it to sooth it, the coolness works wonders on the itch. But dont keep it on for long or have the ice pack in direct contact with your skin, it can dry it out a but more.
And I also use Dove sensitive skin body wash, it nonperfumed and does wonders on my skin to keep it from drying out.
And if you have the money, i'd recommend Simple Sugars body scrubs, all natural and makes your skin super smooth without irritation.
I mix my Dove/SS every time I shower.
I also use the strongest Eucerin lotion that i can find at my pharmacy, thats worked on me since I was a child.

Mine always comes back in the winter, thing is, it is never really itchy but gets really red if I don't use hydrocortisone, and when I use it it gets itchy. I only have it on the back of my neck and perhaps the upper part of my back sometimes.
