So there are some terms I've come across in the forums that I can't quite wrap my brain around..
Mainly, what is the difference between a mojo and a wheel pet? What is the significance of a pb (pure bred?) themed pet? What makes tagged pets special?
Are there any other terms that might be beneficial to be aware of??
Thanks in advance for the assistance!

PB (purebred): this is a pet that has been bred where both parents are tagged, and is usually a wheel pet but not always
Mojo pets: during the Fall Festival, there was an opportunity to get "mojo" from sylestis found in the Festival Zone. The top 20 players with the most mojo collected had the chance to get a mojo pet. (I didn't participate in this, so I'm probably not the best person to talk to about mojo pets)
Wheel pets: During each festival, there's a wheel (think Wheel of Fortune). If you get a wheel ticket you get to spin the wheel and can get a variety of prizes. One of the prizes is a special pet from the Wheel, found nowhere else on Sylestia...they are also extremely expensive to get outside of Festivals.
Tagged pets: These are special themed pets that have a 'tag', and can only be found wild in festivals, like my Zombified Ryori here: https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1092937
Other Terms: on the Pet and Item auction forums, [S] means selling, [LF] means looking for, and [T] means trading.
Hopefully this helps.

Mojo's are a "theme" from the latest fall festival! They came from a contest called "Mojo for Hexamora". They are know as exclusive sylesti because you had to be on the top twenty to get one of the 2 visible pets. If you were in the top 3, you would've gotten a 3 visible exclusive pet. They are less valuable than wheel pets (in my eyes at least) but they are still more valuable compared to normal caught themed pets.
Wheel pets are pets that you can only get from the festival's wheel, you will be able to see when the winter festival comes up!
A purebred themed pet can mean it either came from two tagged parents, or that it came from two parents that do not have non tagged/themed blood in their bloodline. So a Island Flower Aeridini who mated with another non themed Aeridini would not have a purebred.
Tagged pets are special because they only appear during that festival where you can catch them, or if you are lucky, get them from the wheel. They are rare and they also specifically have a name on their pet page that explains what type of tagged pet they may be. They also can sell for a lot if they are a very popular tagged themed pet!

Thank you both for your thorough replies! This really helps! I have an additional question (sorry, I just want to figure this out before I make an oaf of myself lol), is there a way to tell from the pets page whether it is a wheel, mojo, or tagged pet?
I received this guy from a stable giveaway without knowing what he was (and I'm still not certain!)

That is actually an exclusive pet that I believe you can only get from a cornucopia pop-up during November! Lucky you he is a beauty!!
However, I am not too fond of finding where exactly the pet came from, you might just have to either ask another user or know yourself! :D

It says he's a Harvest Moon Nytekrie- that's what tells you he's tagged. Above that it says this is an Exclusive Sylesti- this is what tells you he's either a wheel pet or a mojo pet. Both wheel and mojo pets say exclusive, and themed say tamed. Hope this helps.

The Harvest Moon Nytekries were from the first fall festival. At this previous one, Jinxie sometimes gave eggs of themes from the last festival. These eggs were marked as exclusive though I could not tell you why on that. Even though he has an exclusive tag, he should be treated as a themed pet though one you sadly cannot mutate.

Tagged pets, to expand on the other players' definitions, includes all pets that have that purple 'tag'. You can get them from the festivals, from the wheel, or from mini-events in the festival. Wheel pets and pets from mini-events generally have the "This is an Exclusive Sylesti". This means you cannot mutate it. Mutating adds traits, either random or chosen depending on the mutator you have.
Mojo Pets - These have already been described to you c:
Jinxie/ Headless Horseman pets - the Headless Horseman was a special event boss from the fall festival this past time. When you killed him, you had the chance of acquiring an egg. I cannot recall if these were exclusive or not. Jinxie appeared on the site as you browsed it. You would click on her, and have the option to dig through her bag. You could get pets from this, like the Harvest Moon Nytekrie, items, or gold.
Trick or Treating - Another mini-event of the fall festival, you would trick or treat other players and they would trick or treat you. You could get candy or gifts. Candy was collected in a chart, and once you had one of each you could make a handful of candy. Sometimes opening these handfuls gave you a special, exclusive 2-visible pet, the Melted Chocolate Ryori.
Cornucopia - This was an event like Jinxie's, and gave out special "Harvest Day" pets, sometimes. You would click on it when you see it and dig through it, and sometimes you would find an eggling! These could be 1-vis, 2-vis, or 3-vis.
Jinxie, Headless Horseman, Trick or Treating, and the Cornucopia all offer pets that are neither mojo pets or wheel pets C:

Are you completely confused yet, Atervita? ;)
I'll try to answer your question about pets' pages.
Usually, when you look on a Tagged pet's page, you can tell if it is just a Tagged pet, which is nifty enough, or some other, more rare Tagged, such as a Wheel or Mojo pet. Most just-Tagged pets' pages say This is a Tamed Sylesti. This Tagged Mossy Kelpari stallion, Stillwater, is an example. Go ahead and take a look at his page; I'll wait--
Now, here is a Wheel pet, my own Yuehua Ma--
--and a Mojo pet, another of mine, Kitty Malone Piranha--
As you can see, each one's page says the same thing, This is an Exclusive Sylesti. You'd have to know something about the 2014 Fall Festival celebration to know one is a Wheel pet and the other is a Mojo pet. Of course, you could always just message me and ask "What kind of Tagged pet is Yuehua Ma?" or something like that.
If you aren't confused yet, this next bit will get you. (Kidding.) Take a look at one more of my pets, Carrageenan*--
No, that's not an error. Just like Stillwater, he's a Mossy Kelpari, even though his page says This is an Exclusive Sylesti--just as if Carrageenan were a Wheel or Mojo pet.
The site's owners, Faiona and Krinadon, like to make past Tagged pets available now and then. When the Mossy Kelpari came out, I had not yet joined Sylestia.
However, during the Fall Festival, Jinxie would pop up now and again on players' pages and give the players prizes. Most prizes were minor, but I lucked out and received a Mossy Kelpari egg. Carrageenan still is not a Wheel or Mojo pet, even though his page says he's Exclusive. He "counts" as just a Tagged pet, because when the Mossy Kelpari was first released, they were not Wheel or Mojo; they had to be Tamed.
Your Nytekrie boy "counts" as just a Tagged, because the first-released Harvest Moon Nytekries are all Tamed. I found this out by going to Advanced Search, doing a search for "Harvest Moon" Themed Nytekries, and looking at the ones with the lowest Pet ID Numbers. They're all Tamed, which means the Harvest Moon Nytekrie Theme "counts" as just Tagged.
Ping or message me if this is not clear.
*Why, yes, I do like showing off my pets. How did you figure that out?
