Hey there, I just have a little question. It's kinda weird tho, so I'm not sure I expect a response.

I normally access Sylestia from my house, but I also log on at work as well, on my breaks and lunches and down times. The computers at my work block all websites associated with "games", so Sylestia is among this list of blocked websites. I can get around the internet security by using the "https" prefix to the url rather than just "http", so I use https://www.sylestia.com as opposed to http://www.sylestia..com. This bypasses the security and lets me into the site.

However, since the server migration and updates a little while ago, I haven't been able to access the site in this manner. I was curious if anyone knew of anything I can do so I can check in on my favorite site once again while I'm at work, or is there simply nothing I can do about it?

Anyone who has more information for me is much appreciated. Thank you. c:

I can ask our Host about it. I don't know why it would or wouldn't be different than before.

Okay, sorry I didn't get back to you until now, this was the first day I've worked since I posted about this problem.

I went ahead and tried it again and got the same error message telling me to contact the forum administrator. It also suggests that I clear my dns cache as that could solve the problem but I have followed the instructions to do so (ending with a successful message saying my dns cache was in fact cleared, so I know I did it right) and I am still having the problem.

I wanted to avoid having to download anything, as the work computers reset to their default (the company's default) settings after every reboot, so I would have to download it constantly and I don't really want to mess with that.

Again, if I can't get around it it's not a huge deal, but I mean it would be nice. :P

Hey, Krin. So I'm at work right now and I tested it out and it's still giving me the error message. I figured I'd hop on my phone and post real quick in case I had to check again before I leave.

I'm getting the web page "www.sylestia.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi" if that helps tell you anything. I can possibly screencap the page if you need it. I tried to clear the dns cache again and still nothing.

I guess maybe it could be on my end but I coulda sworn I didn't have this problem before the server upgrade. So strange!

Okay, Krin, this is me checking in from work! It's all working perfectly now, thank you so much for helping me out. Now I can keep up with the festivals while I'm here too. c:
