Hi! It's me, Crystal25152. Well, this is just a note to everyone...kind of.

Some people are disabled. Like me, I'm legally blind. Some are completely blind. Some people are deaf. Some can't walk. Some can't talk. Some have a condition when they look funny. If you've seen these kind of people, walk over and say hi. Don't shy away. Don't be afraid to ask-most of us don't mind. Don't be afraid...we want to be normal. Personally, I don't really like the 'special' attention. I want to be treated normal. Some of us would agree. Sure, you can always help someone, but remember most of us can do what most others can. Though some can't, of course. I'm just saying, were all humans. We aren't that different. What if all the people on earth was blind? Deaf? Would you treat people like us like normal people then? Would you?

That's all...just saying.

I agree Crystal!
It's really annoying for me because I have such a problem speaking that most of the time I just give up with speaking >_> So I know how it feels ( even though I am not completely mute and I just find it so hard to get words out that I usually shout them...)
So can all you...'normal' (?) people be a little bit kinder? Because most people I have met are being insulted because they might be in a wheelchair, blind, deaf or mute...we are existing people and how would you like being treated badly?

I'm not trying to be mean, but like Crystal I am just asking! Be a bit nicer and treat us like normal people

I am equally shy around everyone, disabled or not. I have some social anxiety. >_< I like to give people their space. Especially if I do not know what to say in a new situation. In my mind It's better to not say anything than to risk sounding like what everyone else sounds like and say what they're tired of hearing.

I get what you are trying to say, but it is not coming out right. When you write it like that, it looks as if you are accusing everyone who is reading as having done something offensive, scarring, and traumatizing to someone with disabilities.

But there is a lot of truth in what you say. People who are different are not treated well, whether that be because of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disabilities. More thought should go into looking at our surroundings and thinking before we act-- towards everyone. As just because someone is different, it doesn't mean they are less.

I think reaching out and making people aware like this can only help. So glad to see this topic.

@Coradrawa,
No worries! Was just letting you know. It's difficult to put these sort of things into words. ^.^'
