It's be nice if we could take the currency we put in the holiday shop back because if you haven't enough to spend on anything at all, we could take it back and she it for next year.

It's possible that the currency remains in the shop. It's not like they 100% delete the shop, I don't think. I think they just close the shop, copy and change the base code, and make a new shop for a new festival while the old shop still exists, waiting to be re-opened when the next festival comes around. Though I may be wrong. >.<

Last year I Used 9 Love letters and then left them to rot, this year there were Nine Letter still in there. xD So They just sit there...all year...until next year rolls around and then they're like, "HEY! You forgot about us!!"

Bumping this.
Because while I think you can PM an admin to take out the currency from the shop, or not worry about it even if it isn't deleted, or if we are really conscientious about how we save our currency, it'd be cool if this was an automated system process. o:
edit: also, it seems that old currency becomes outdated by the next time an event comes around, so with this in mind, it can be more relevant, i.e. having 2 pieces of currency left over in the shop from miscalculations, and it would be better to broker them, and an automated process to bring them back into the inventory (just like taking out items from a wardrobe back into the inventory) would be convenient.

I would really appreciate something like this. I try to look ahead and get the amount of currency that I need, but sometimes extras do end up used and then stuck because there's nothing to spend 7 currency on. I try to set up my extra on the market so that I can make some gold and also help other users who needed some more. So this would be very useful.

Last summer festival (Last year's) i had 2 leftover sun tokens (In the holiday shop) , this summer festival i got them back but they were called 'vintage sun token' or something like that. So I brokered them.
