Hello, I'm a bit of a seasonal Sylestia player, so I've only actually committed to doing about one or two fests in my time on the site? The tier levels have been SUPER helpful, but I am still having a bit of trouble.
Recently my party has had in it Eurydice, Seraphine, and this ryori.
I know light pets aren't technically tanks? But Eurydice is the first in line since she has more health than the water pet.
Usually my tank is Theodora, but recently when I use her to try to do Tier 2, she actually fares worse than Eurydice? So even when there's no event being triggered, the Eurydice or Theodora are consistently on the brink of death.
They've all got the best armor I can give them so far, + Seraphine has some armor that was gifted to me. How far along in the Lost Grove am I supposed to be for them to not struggle so much during fests?
I know its not a big deal to just play on Tier 1 lol, but been too easy for this fest and the winter fest I did, so I'm hoping I can get some help figuring it out?
Thanks for the read :>

Best people in the know who would love to help is Scatheorite or CirrusAscending. Im not hugely experienced but I am here...
This thread is helpful https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=45988
There is an option to change Profficiencies from memory its only 25k. ...note in my experience changing Profficiencies wont make you lose rankings ( lvl 75) but changing what your pet is attuned to will.
I would put your Water pet as tank in slot 1 and change profficiencies to Health 3 Agility 3 if thats all you have however Water pets are versatile but you need to set up each water pet for the profficiencies differently if you want them to go slot 2 as damage dealer I would speck at Strength 3 Dex 1 agility 2 no health .... Agility and health are very important for a tank cause they absorb and avoid all the damage and protect the other pets.Agility helps avoid damage . Earth is the most popular Tank slot 1 Health 3 Agility 3
My main party is Earth Air Light.
Some builds I have used depends on battle... Slot1 Tank, Slot2 Damage, slot3 Heal in that order
My main party is Earth Air Light.
Earth, air/fire, Light
Water, Fire/Shadow, Light
Shadow, Fire/Air, Light
Dont forget to swap pets around during battle it can save them.
Air Pet to slot 2 is fine... they are the damage dealer I always have mine Strength 3 Dex 3
Slot three Put Your light pet they are the healer and are not a tank. Change profficiencies to Intelligence 3 Dex1 Agility 2 or (Intelligence 3 Agility 3) ...need Dex for healing and damage. Health is not as important for the light Pet but helping do damage and Heal your party is more important
A lot of players use Pyromancers (fire) armour on light pets I try keep one lightbringer armour rest Pyromancer for the dex
Water and Earth are best at Tanks can sometimes use shadow ...slot 1
Fire,Air, Shadow or Water depends on build.... slot 2
Light is best for slot 3
Try and upgrade your armour as you can this makes a big difference...
I Sometimes use level 75 pets Themed with low stats ( not max) in zone two with low level armour and they survive fine. Including bosses. :)
Hope this helps and all the best

Crystal gave you all the important points, but I just wanted to chime in about events specifically.
You will find that the events are much nastier than basically everything else. Summer fest seems to be more geared towards earth tanks and teams built around survivability. I've heard earth/water/air is a great combo specifically for the higher tiers. While the winter fest event boss seems to favor water tanks and teams built for faster killing (at least it did last year).
Just to give you perspective, I have super stats with maxed out gear. I can clear everything in LG temple other than Vexx with this team (water/fire/air). I run tier 5 until the summer event starts and then I drop to tier 3. Even when I pay attention, tier 5 during the events will wipe out my party. Winter fest I have zero issues running this team on tier 5 for the events (as long as I pay attention). I think the events are Krin's way of getting people to switch up their teams, something I'm just too lazy to do most of the time. :-P
Maybe one of these days I'll try the summer event with my Vexx team of water/air/light, but it hasn't been something I've cared enough to experiment with.
Hope that is helpful.

Thank you!! The perspective definitely helps, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be able to last on one of the higher tiers xD
