I didn't understand that they were just placeholders and have been looking for Sketch Bugs for my avatar. Now I find out that only a lucky few were able to place them in their avatars and have them. Don't get me wrong, I truly do like the "real" caterpillar Held items. But the rest of Sylestia deserves the opportunity to have a Sketch Bug on their avatar! Who's with me?!

I personally think the sketch bugs are adorable! It could also serve as a reminder of the good old days when many of us started our art journeys while also inspiring new artists to start making art!

I was also looking for the pink sketch bug earlier and couldn't find it XD I also came to the realization that they were placeholders and was saddened. I agree, the actual avi items are cute, but I really kind of love the neon pink and neon green of the sketch bugs, as well as their cute simplicity. Definitely support for the sketch bugs to be released as their own items <3

;_; I really, really want the doodle bugs. Krin said something about wanting to maintain a consistent visual style, but it's a shame because the community response to the placeholders has been quite positive~

I think he may have been referring more to a consistent art style than a consistent item style (i.e. keeping everything to look like it was made by the same person as opposed to making everything fit in the same category). xD

surely the trick is to have the hand part of the item for them to be a magic pencil/paintbrush/spraypaint bottle/highlighter/etc. Thusly, their scribble nature would be justified, a creature created by an artist's hand and Magic
(and hey, plenty of petsites that have alternate versions of their species via like, painting them or mutating them have 'scribble' or 'sketch' as one of the options, so why can't there be scribble helds, players evidently love them)
