I'm a literate RPer, can play either gender, open to trying any worlds/plots.

I am looking for some one who is:

- Open to a laid-back 1x1 RP (I will do my best to come on daily)

- Is literate (this means that you watch your grammar, punctuation, and formatting, give decent-sized replies, and put detail and thought into them)

- Can contribute to the world/plot building process (I don't like being the only one coming up with ideas, simply because it feels like I'm the only one invested in the RP)

Hello, Taisiya! Your thread caught my eye and I thought I would introduce myself. I am Uncanny and I've been a roleplayer on here for quite a bit, I would consider myself literate and great at world-building. I would like to know what genres you are open to so I could figure out a plot to follow!

Here's a disclaimer for me and my standards:
- I will never accept racism, transphobia, or homophobia from another roleplayer. (This is just a standard of mine, sorry if it sounds harsh.)

- I play mainly male/non-binary characters for my own comfort.

- I'm pretty much open to any genre and I have at least one idea for each. (I'm not as interested in sci-fi as other genres.)

- Romance is fine, but anything past fluff makes me very uncomfortable.

- I'm starting school tomorrow so, on weekdays, I won't be as active.


I am very excited to perhaps start a roleplay with you, and I hope you feel the same!

I'm not very picky about the topic as long as the plot is interesting and gives room for character development. I have a new female character I'd like to try out, who I think would do well in some sort of medieval setting, in a small, relatively peaceful (at least up until the start of the RP) town/village, if you're fine with that :D

Of course, that sounds really cool; I was hoping for a medieval fantasy of some sort. I have a storyline that I've been wanting to use for quite some time. (I also have a character to go with this.) But, the world it's based in is just beginning to fall from its golden age, wars are beginning to break out, the world's deities are beginning to become less prevalent, magic is slowly starting to become less heard of? I don't know what our characters will do yet, but it would be interesting if our characters tried to stop the downfall, but they inevitably fail.

(That was just a quick brush over because I don't overwhelm you.)

Don't worry about that, I also have a tendency to give out too much information at once and overwhelm people with my complex worlds and plots XD

That sounds interesting... What is the nature of the magic/deities? I actually had an idea that maybe the magic was 'artificially' created by the deities, so it obviously disappeared with the downfall, but there was also an 'original/true' magic that lived on its own in the natural world?

Hello, Taisiya! im Dragon, and iv been on Sylestia for a few years now. i enjoy 1x1s, can (sometimes overly) contribute to the plot, and consider myself literate (until it gets late, then i get tired and my spelling messes up. but i always put thought into my replies, no matter the lentgh) some things of note:

i take no BS about the LGBTQ community, severe violence, abuse, or any of that, unless its plot related.

i enjoy romance, but anything beyond hugs, kisses, and cuddles goes to PMs for naughty time ;) unless you arent ok with that, of course.

i play teeenage characters, mainly female lesbians.

i enjoy fantasy, especiallty with mythecal creatuees. i also like sci-fi and romance, as long as the romance has actual plot and a story line and actio and stuff. point is, i like bright lights, explosions, and stuff i cant have.

if you want to base an RP off of anything, i reccomend either reptile moves like HTTYD, Jurrasic World, or Godzilla, or video games, especially Nintendo ones. i perfer not to keep OG characters, instead making them on the fly when i need to.

im in school and grounded, so i might not be on too much, but i promise to be on at least once a day.

I was thinking that the deities range in nature, for the most part, they're rather benevolent and involved with their followers. What if artificial magic is a lot tamer and isn't as corruptive as natural/raw magic? Like, the deities made artificial magic out of raw magic so mortals could use it without destroying themselves? There are of course people who could use the natural magic without dying, but they are rare and hard to come by?
An interesting thing would be that certain warlords or officials are trying to make their own magic out of greed which is also what is pushing the deities away?

Maybe natural magic requires a lot of training in order to be used safely (by anyone), and there were certain 'gifted' people who could learn more easily than others?

The Deities would have created the artificial magic in order to make it more accessible (maybe this kind of magic is stored in some sort of artifacts?), but certain people started trying to twist it/misuse it in some way that wouldn't have been possible before artificial magic was created, due to the nature of natural magic? This could be why the deities might have distanced themselves from the people in order to put a lid on the artificial magic?

I'm only comfortable playing straight characters, but if that's fine with you we could try something around a fantasy/apocalypse/extraterrestrial war setting?

I can do straight characters, as long as Im female. Males I can do, but Im more comfortable with girls over guys. And fantasy works! Any ideas?
