I'll post my character in a bit, and you can use your own form just because my preferred one is pretty long.
I also think that if our characters had to hobo around a bit before they could steal a horse or two would be interesting. Like, if we started on a train that they hitched a ride on and they end up stealing horses later? But I think it would be a bit too complicated to plan, so if we started with horses would probably be easier.

I agree that the train start would be difficult to plan out and having horses is so much easier.

Names: Desta
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Apperance: Light brown hair with green eyes. She doesn't dress like a typical girl from that time prefering jeans and shirt with a red bandana. She wears a tan cowboy hat.
Personality: Desta is kind, caring, loyal, but untrusting. She has been wronged in her past so she is not very trusting towards anyone that Duke and Loki don't trust which is basically everyone. If a person gets to know her they will find that she is very protective.
Backstory: Desta's family is quiet wealthy back east but she got away from them after they tried to make her marry an outlaw who they thought was another wealthy person. She tried to make them understand to the point of bringing a wanted poster with the man's face and name on it but they wouldn't believe her. So her family accused her of trying to shame them and threw her out. They consider her dead as she does them. (Maybe later on you'll learn more about them.)
Other: Has a German Shepard dog names Duke and a sabino horse named Loki.
Name: Daniel Weston (nickname West)
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Apperances: Dark brown hair and steel grey eyes. He normally wears faded colored shirts and jeans with a bandana as a mask when the time comes. He sometimes wears moccasins rather then boots and always wears a white or tan cowboy hat.
Personality: West as many call him has a rough exterior though truely cares for the people who know him well. He's the type to shoot first and ask questions later in certain situations while in others he will try and work through the issues using his brain. Couragous but not stupid West doesn't enjoy getting into a fight but will gladly settle one if it comes down to it.
Backstory: West came from a bad past and that is all he is willing to say about that. He fell in with the gang when he was twelve and has stayed with them for some time until the mishap that seperated him from the gang.
Other: He has a horse ironically names Lone Star and is an outlaw.

Appearance:
Floyd stands at 6' 1" and has an average build for his time. His nose is crooked from breaking it in a bar fight on his twenty-first birthday, he also has several scars from accidents during his early years as an outlaw.
Floyd is often found wearing an old grey (once white) button-up under a darker gray vest and a light brown leather duster, a tattered grey and blue striped bandana, worn boots, and a brown slouch hat that has been shot off his head at least once.
(He has longer hair and is a bit scruffier.)

Personality:
Floyd is practically the most stubborn person anyone could meet. He will argue with anyone for the sake of arguing, it doesn't matter who it is. Even if he's a grown man, he hasn't matured much past eighteen; Floyd often complains, makes bad jokes, and will shoot anything that moves. Despite being stubborn and quick to jump into any fight he can, Floyd is quite friendly in domestic situations. He is very confident in the odd amount of luck he has and will go into things without a plan just because of this.
Floyd does like to keep most of his "more feminine" interests to himself out of embarrassment. He will go out of his way to hide anything that could convey he enjoys these things. If someone finds out, he'll actively try to avoid them until he thinks they forget about it. He also misses everyone in the group he got separated from, even if they didn't particularly get along.
Likes:

Dislikes:
- Being made fun of. (He dislikes this more than most people.)
- Losing arguments.
- Canned beets.
- Being left alone.

+ He is a great shot and has cat-like reflexes.
+ A quick learner.
+ Pretty physically strong from the years of work.
+ Due to his interest in sewing he can pretty easily patch up wounds.
Weaknesses:
- He's actually pretty terrible at hiding things.
- He goes out of his way to start fights.
- Lacks common sense. (Most of the time.)
- Doesn't do what he's told.
Backstory:
You could say he was born into the business, however, Floyd doesn't completely remember most of the events leading up to his face getting plastered onto a poster at a sheriff's office. He was proud of that moment and still keeps the poster somewhere in his bag, after six years.
He got the nickname Goose from the way his voice cracked as a teenager, he finds this version of the story embarrassing and prefers the "story" of how he shot a goose from twenty meters with a sling-shot. (It of course isn't at all true.) He often gets picked on for trying to change the story up, which causes him embarrassment.

- Mother, Alice Wallice (She left the group a long time ago.)
- Father, Henry Wallice (He went missing a while back.)

Looks great and we can always add in more characters when we need too. So do you want to begin as they just meet up one day after say Desta makes camp and the two outlaws go and try to either steal from her and get shot at or they try to come into the camp as friends with more intresting results? Or do you have another idea?

I think starting off right after the incident and leading up to them trying to sneak food would run a bit easier. Like, leading up to it a bit because immediately trying to steal food in the roleplay would feel a bit clunky. I was also expecting for there to be one other character to interact with for a good chunk of the roleplay, so I'm kind of thrown for a loop. /lh
I do like both ideas though. What if Floyd goes to steal some food and gets shot at, then Daniel goes in to settle things down? I was just thinking this because Floyd isn't one to think if something is too risky and Daniel seems to be the one with the brain cell.

That sounds like a good idea. What if while they were on the run after a few days without any food they smelled smoke and rabbit stew and went to investigate?
How many more characters do I need to make real quick?

Yeah, that sounds great! Also, you don't need to make any more characters currently- I can make a few when the time comes. (I'll feel bad if you felt obligated to make a bunch of characters.)
