Magic is widely considered to be a lost art. It became rarer and rarer over time until it became completely unheard of and just a myth.
However, last night you found out magic was in fact real and you were capable of it when you received a letter in the mail, claiming you were part of a magical bloodline and were now invited to an academy for training magic users, and the letter provided a spell in order to transport you to the academy. All you needed to do to accept that invitation was to preform the spell, everything else would be taken care of
Magical Races

Gains magic from being around their element
Nymph bloodline
Gains magic from being around nature
Witch bloodline
Gains magic from celestial bodies and the stars
Mage bloodline
Gains magic from within themselves
Draconian bloodline
Gains magic from crystals and valuable ores
Warlock bloodline
Gains power from a stronger magical being
Mermaid bloodline
Gains power from being around water
Rules
No being overpowered
Custom bloodlines are allowed just tell me abt it first
Only 1 bloodline per person
Dont control other peoples characters

Bio: She has lived by the ocean her whole life and worked as a lifeguard at her local beach. She has two younger sisters and a younger brother who shes taken care of for most of her life since her parents both work long hours. The only reason she feels safe leaving them to go to school is because she can perhaps make more money for her siblings and she feels confident enough in her siblings abilities to look after themselves

I mean, the bloodlines are kind of considered non-human, but everyone wouldve been raised in a human society

Okay. I was curious about what I could get away with.
I was thinking, too, I might do a DnD-like draconic bloodline, if that's ok with you.

I added a draconian bloodline just keep in mind the characters are still physically human but could use their magic to gain more inhuman traits over time

Bloodline:
Warlock Bloodline
His family, in particular, drew power from an ancient spirit that often shows itself in the form of an anthropomorphic Northern White-faced Owl. The spirit goes by the name Nauctalisk and offers magic only to "true prodigies".
Bio:
Remus is the first, in many generations, to be able to call upon magic from the once slumbering Nauctalisk. He only found this out when he got the letter that he could do magic because his family gave up on testing their children's magical abilities.
Remus was already some sort of prodigy before he was summoned by this new school. His strict parents "encouraged" him to be at the top of his class, threatening to ground him if he got anything below a B. Remus always knew that this was because they cared about his future, so he rarely argues. He rarely ever got any free time between school, advanced tutoring, and piano lessons, but he drew when he was able to slip away for a moment. Of course, he isn't the best but the quick improvement he's had during these moments was noticeable. He was able to sneak a few spare sheets of paper and an old pen from his father's office for these purposes, and so far, no one has noticed.
Personality-wise, Remus can be seen as a stuck-up and shrewd person who is almost always found waste deep in his studies. When he's speaking he always has a bit of a bite to it like he doesn't want to be bothered with talking to someone; it isn't personal, he isn't a very sociable person. Remus is also beginning to suffer from gifted-child burnout, by the second week of being away from his parents he'll be noticeably less of a perfectionist and he'll be easier to talk to. He's seriously just a tired teenager who had gotten an entire family legacy dropped onto his already full plate.
Appearance:
Remus stands at 6' 0" and is a very clean person despite being obviously tired. From being raised practically sheltered all of his life, he has almost flawless skin with no scars or blemishes. He always wears button-ups, vests, and trousers, because his parents of course expect him to dress like a proper gentleman.

At least a millennia-old. (They're an ageless being)

They have no use for gender. (Genderfluid, prefers they/them most days.)
Sexuality:
Is open to relationships, they aren't exactly sure of their preference.
Bio:
Nauctalisk is a being of possibility, once considered a god of sorts before the fall of magic. They have worked with many families in the past, but none have lasted as long as the Ambrose family. This owl-like being comes to assist those with bright minds on their journeys; whether it be to fame or self-discovery.
When magic ended up dying out for the bit that it did Nauctalisk didn't die with it, instead, they fell into a deep slumber until someone with a magic gift could wake them. This ended up being a poor morsel being pushed in the wrong direction who caused them to reawaken. Of course, Nauctalisk is still weak from the centuries of slumber but with what magic they have they will help the young man.
Because of being asleep for so long, Nauctalisk is no longer familiar with the habits of humans so they are often struggling to understand the behavior of their lesser counterparts. They, of course, are open to learning more about these new habits as they find humans to be entertaining.
Appearance
A fourteen-foot-tall creature that is a mixture of man and owl. To be specific, Nauctalisk looks much like a Northern White-faced Owl. They wear black robes over a clean black blouse tucked into black trousers and a black vest buttoned over it. Nauctalisk has many golden rings, all different shapes, and sizes; some given have precious gemstones pressed into them.
They occasionally take to their owl and human form to get around easier, though they prefer their owl form best. In their human form, they wear the same thing as their natural form and stand at 6' 4".

Bio: Savannah is a quiet kid and usually keeps to herself. She is only 5'1 so she is always picked on saying shes a child. She is nice and likes to open up eventually to people she likes. The music genres she likes to listen to is pop, older country, and soft rock.

Other: Before she got the invitation she was living with her grandma, thats why she has a liking to old country music. And btw im ok with her flirting with someone, just an fyi she is very shy so she wont talk first lol.
