It had been thirty years since the integration of the habitants of the solar system to the Alliance. Nowday, they are almost mendatory amongst the crew of any respectable spaceship. As sutch, the capitain of the Nebulus did his best to integrate a few humans to the new recrutes.

The Nebulus is a small exploration ship, even more so since it was upgraded to accomodate the new equipement and crew that can handle them. Their new mission, finding and hopefully identifying a deep space speacie, highly belived to be non-sentient, that was causing interferences with various equipement. Of course, discouvering new planets and solar system along the way would never hurt the team of scientist and explorators, after all, what could go wrong ?

At the moment the Nebulus was still docked at the trading post of a small moon, the crew had finished stocking the day prior but they were still waiting for the new arival to be all accompted for. To ensure that nobody still part of the expedition would be left behind and to help getting the crew aquinted with their new members the capitain had ordered a meeting in the mess hall.

i make my way to the mess hall excitedly, wings flapping behind me. i'm excited to meet a human, finally. there aren't a lot of other species on my planet, not a lot of them can handle the thich volcanic ash in the air. the ship is a different deal, however. the Nebulus is much more inviting and life-friendly, which is great!

Dricyriz Cihevle (Dric)

The medic was hovering quietly above one of the seats avalable in the mess hall. It had took a while for him to get the new medical files added to his holo-clip, a small projection device allowing him to carry large files without struggling with the actual weight of the files, but now he coudnt wait to meet the newcomers. As he waited his antenas were moving in a slow wave like motion, indicating his excitement while also acting as a signal for the others to brace themself for a barage of questions and theories.

Iomina Nomori - Io

Iomina was buzzing with pure excitement, her walk to the mess hall was more of a skip. New arrivals! Humans- Oh how exciting! She of course loved the original crew she worked with, but new faces were all the more interesting! She wondered if they'd answer any of her burning questions about their race. Iomina could squeal!
The fair-haired Hamalori had her datapad and stylus on her, the flipping of the stylus showed how intrigued she was in these newcomers. Iomina opened the door to the mess hall and did her best to compose herself, trying to practice not being an embarrassment. She took a seat across the table from Dricyriz, nervously tapping her writing utensil on the table, her datapad already opened to a new file. "Do you think the humans will be open to me asking questions-", Iomina blurted, her million questions impatiently waiting to be asked.

Tobias Parson-Kathrine - TPK

A scruffy human with nothing but a backpack, an old walking man, and a crate stepped off of an Earth transport. He took a deep breath of the stale air of the port- and yet the air quality was better than Los Angeles, so he couldn't complain. His footfalls were heavy as he pushed through the crowds to his assigned ship, the Nebulus. To him, the name was freedom and he was thankful for this new adventure.
He surprisingly didn't have as many questions as you'd expect from a human who has never seen any sentient creature other than humans before. And they can be asked later, he was tired from a long trip. Tobias just kept his head down and kept weaving through the mixed crowds- if they minded their business, he'd mind his; that's how he grew up.

Dricyriz Cihevle (Drik)

The Heikiri laugh softly, two of his entenas curling togedther in a playfull display. "They better be prepared too, they are joining an exploration crew after all ! We are not known to be boring office drones, if we have questions it's kind of a given that we will figure out an answer. Personaly i wonder if they would let me do a deep scan, i know it would be unnecessay on a medical stand point but this would still be fasinating to watch... There is just so mutch to learn from them, i cant belive we finaly got some humans crew members !" His old habit of flicking his wings had caused him to slighly fly upward as he spoke tho he corrected it fairly quicly, seemeing a bit embarassed about it.

"i'm so excited!" i say, unable to keep my wings from beating against the back of my seat "i heard they pack bond with everything - even items!" i explain, hardly able to contain myself. humans and my species are quite alike - at least socially. ok so maybe we aren't that alike but there are some similarities!

Khririooa

Riri glanced at their notes once again, anxiously awaiting the humans arrival, their bioluminescent pattern flashing in anticipation. *I have done my best to research everything I could about human culture. Remember not to overwhelm them, as it may take time for them to adapt to a new environment and for them to learn to coexist* Riri warned everyone else.

Khririooas mind was already jumping at the chance to feel what emotions the humans were feeling and mentally preparing themself to be ready to provide any comfort the humans may need

Maya shuffled in close behind Tobias. She didnt plan on getting too close, but he was a human like her and on the same crew, so having some sense of familiarity would definitely help meet new aliens. All she needed was to be polite enough to get to her real comfort zone- the computers.

"oh, sorry" i say, cheeks turning purple in embarresment. i just can't help myself! though it had only been around a decade since my own species was introduced, it feels like so long ago. i already feel like a part of the crew and it's so amazing to be a part of such a large comunity. plus, i already learned a bunch of human slang.

Iomina Nomori - Io

Iomina's lamb-like ears flared (Her people's way of smiling), her face plastered with her eager curiosity. "I've never been so close to a recent past war world before; I know humans haven't evolved as wildly as any of us, but I just want to know how their people have survived like that for so long- And I'd have to get a look at those scans!", She babbled, the tapping of her stylus increasing.
The Hamalori nodded at Khririooa's point, composing herself a little bit. "I understand, but as a Biologist, I must satisfy my curiosities or I'll burst.", She said. "It's kind of like the human saying..." She trailed off, trying to remember how it went.

Tobias Parson-Kathrine - TPK

Tobias barely noticed the presence behind him, but he was too tired to care. He forgot breakfast that morning, so he was hungry too. I wonder if they have food. He thought, hiking his bag up onto his shoulder- still sore from the terrible transport nap he had on the way here. Tobias squeezed past a couple of lost folks, grumbling about how annoying it was that they were standing in the middle of the walkway.
Eventually, he made it to the ship that was described to him. The scruffy blonde sighed, relieved. Finally, home sweet home, you're off that god-forsaken rock, TPK. He told himself, making the final steps to release.

(Boy howdy, Dric is going to be surprised how long TPK has survived so long on mainly coffee. /j)

unable to contain myself any longer, i burst forward, foot tapping excitedly. "ok i've got to ask, is it true your species has names based on gender and not - what's the word?- type?" i ask, watching them curiously.
