This might be already mentioned somewhere in the 109 pages (just do not have time to search them all).

When I am using public coverings and I choose a pet to breed with one of my pets, I have to click on the
"View Prices" green button, then a small screen pops-up with "Choose a Stable" drop-down and "Choose a Pet" drop-down. I might have 5 or more stables with the species I am breeding to and then full tabs of pets so it takes a long time just to breed to the one specific pet I am working with.

My suggestion is only have one space that is on the small pop-up screen "Choose a Pet " and then enter the pet id number for the pet you want to breed with.

This could also be done on Breeding Grounds, instead of the drop-down list for each gender, just have the box to enter the pet id number for each gender. It would make breeding quick and easy.

I'm not quite sure I understand; that font really messes with my eyes. You want every breedable pet to show up in the breeding grounds??

No, there is no change to selecting the species you want to breed, the only change is no drop-down list for males or females, only a space to enter the pet id number.

Some species I have as many as 700 pets and this causes the drop-down list it be very long to scroll through. It would be much quicker to type in the id number and the pet is selected for each gender. Then we could still test breed as usual before clicking the Breed Pair button.

Alright, now I'm even more confused.

You want to get rid of the gender split. Which makes it easy to find couples. In exchange for needing to copy-paste each individual's ID.

That seems like it would be much more inconvenient than the current system.

There's no stable-gap in the breeding grounds. I know this because I have two stables.

I feel like there's something you're not explaining because none of this seems like stuff that would be needed. Can you explain in detail what you mean with this idea? It feels like it keeps changing and that makes things very confusing.

If this thread is suggesting what I think it is, then it would be a big no for me.

This is the suggestion as I understand it (please correct me if I'm wrong, because I'd love to understand the actual suggestion if this isn't it): changing the breeding grounds from having dropdowns of every pet a player owns of the chosen species and being able to scroll through the names to find what we're looking for, to a similar interface as what Flight Rising has for testing dragon pairs: inputting the ID numbers of the two desired pets.

Now, I don't use my FR much as there were severe space limitations when I was last there, making breeding not much fun for me, but I remember thinking that the ability to use ID numbers to check how two dragons' (whether owned by me or not) offspring might look was neat as a way to check colour possibilities before purchasing a dragon. Also, the fact that I could only breed up to five pairs at a time meant that taking the extra time to look up the IDs of said dragons and test-breeding them wasn't onerous. And... when it came time to breed, there were still dropdown menus with the dragons' names, so I could easily find the dragons I wanted to breed.

Now, your example of having 700 of a given species. I currently have 1,120 qitaris. I am actively breeding about 10 different qitari projects with about 5-10 females being bred for each. That's 50-100 breedings for one species at a time. How do I find the right pairs now? Naming conventions (ex. Aurora AbCEf I'd breed to Aurora aBdeF). Within seconds I can see which pets are from which projects, and which combination of traits they have to get the best offspring possible. If we switched to ID numbers, instead of taking a few seconds to find the right pairs in the giant list (just hit the first letter of the name til the right ones pop up), I have to now go to advanced search, search for my project name, look through all pets, match them up, grab the ID numbers of the first pair, take them back to the breeding grounds, input the ID numbers, breed that pair, then repeat. This would add so many extra steps, and so very many extra minutes, which when you are breeding a lot of pets at once turns into extra hours.

Now, if this were just an additional option added to the breeding grounds as a way to test breed with pets you don't own, but left the dropdown menus alone, I'd think that's a great compromise. I know a lot of people would like there to be a way to test breed their pets with those owned by others without having to 'borrow' them. I'd even be in support of having the option to breed this way, but not wiping out the dropdown menus in favour of it.

No I do not want to get rid of the gender split on the Breeding Grounds.

For me, the drop-down lists take too much time to find the pets I want to breed together. For example, I have 7 stables of Qitari with Ty Minions mixed throughout several stables due to age differences in my pets, older pets have lower id numbers while newer pets have the higher id numbers. The drop-down lists for both genders start with the lowest id numbers and end with the highest id number for breedable pets. In my breeding, I strive to keep inbred percentages as low as possible on my offspring. I breed young adults back to grandparents or great-grandparents so I usually have to scroll the entire drop-down list on one gender or the other for every breeding pair. I do not name my pets unless I am fairly certain I will be keeping it and not selling it at some later point in time. Many are un-named so I find them by their id numbers when searching through the drop-down lists.

I do use a separate tab on my computer to look up the pets from whatever theme plus traits that I am wanting to breed, using the advance search. It is easy for me to see my males and females and their id numbers. My time on the game is very limited each day so I rarely breed more than one or two themes a week or maybe even only once a month. I would like to have the time to do more than one activity (nurture, zone exploration, or breeding) during my limited game time each weekday.

Sorry if I am not explaining well enough for you to picture it. My computer will not do screenshots (I have tried to set it up with the hot keys to save a screen, computer says it will work, but when I use the designated keys, nothing happens) so I cannot do pictures to go along with the explanation.

If this were to simultaneously exist with the current breeding system, I have no problem with it. I think the Breeding Grounds needs a rehaul and it would be nice to have more choices in display options (think ascending/descending ID or stable location)

However, my method of projects is similar to Mika's. Names identify traits and I can quickly pair them, so I would like the ability to select from a dropdown the way it is now. I wouldn't mind another option existing for differing methods of completing projects, as long as it doesn't interfere with how the system is already.

For clarification: I guess semi-support if it's alongside the current system, although I personally would not use it. Definite no support as a complete replacement.

I think the best suggestion for the breeding grounds is a search box that you can input Id/ name into and search for the pet you want. As for breeding to a pet, what i do is make a stable for the girls i want to breed to x pet. Im not sure breeding to a pet is ever going to be different
