Not to be rude or anything but aren't I supposed to have 19 rubies from exploring? I had 22 before and I used all but then found 19?

You and Ember wander into the Enchanted forest together, when you spot a pond. The pond has a short, stone railing with swirly designs on it. There is a stone statue of a Firight on the other side of the pond. The pond has a circle of lotuses, with a circle of 5 and 1 more inside it. Ember races toward the center lotus, seeming to detect something. You pick up the lotus, and are surprised to find that a pink female hatchling Firight is beneath it. It latches itself around your feet and looks up at you lovingly. You explore some more once she has let go and find 12 rubies in a bush. You start on the path to home when you trip on a rock--no, a saddle--and fall to the ground. When you get back up, you pick up the saddle and head home, happy with your bounty.

You stroll along the path in hopes of using your magic mirror. The trail seems to be of good luck, as a male Firight adult steals the mirror and starts chewing on it. It climbs the tree and you chase it all the way until it jumps off a branch and leaps into a pond. It stops and sits in the pond, clearly liking you and playing not a prank, but a game.
