there's no real 'length' as progression depends on you battling things. I believe some people counted at some point and came up with ~45 battles between each of the boss puzzles (meaning it would be something like 180 non-boss battles total)? But I might be mistaken since that was a long time ago and it wasn't very comprehensive research (and it might have been DotF that the conversation was about, like I said, it was a while ago, and I have a bad memory)

Just did a runthrough and yeah think that was about dotf-
about 35 battles total in NBD (average of 10 between each puzzle door) not counting the bosses
