So, recently I was trying to post a new thread on forums (General Discussion) and this showed up:
I've already deleted the majority of the text to see if anything would happen differently, but nothing seems to happen. (I've also reloaded several times)
I'm so sorry to bother if this is just an error on my part!!!

It's referring to the subject, not the body.
It is indicating that you are 3 characters too long with your subject (the title).
