I have been getting lots of them from quests and i dont know how to put them on my creatures??

Your inventory. Click the Switch to Equipment link under the My Inventory title. Then choose you pet and armor and click on onto the appropriate space.

I have edited it because i have been getting them from challenges but i cant find them in my inventory??

Note that there are two sections to the Inventory- the base inventory, which is for avatar items, healing items, essences etc, and the Equipment inventory, which is specifically for things that get equipped to pets.
Go to your Inventory and hit the text that says "Switch to Equipment" (located under the text that says "Your Inventory") to access the Equipment inventory
