~Natural Disaster Design Contest!~
Rules:
- 1 Entry per person
- Add a picture of the disaster you are going off of
- Add the words 2021 in the other section (my way of making sure you read the rules)
- fill out the form
- Have fun

in summer '20 wayward spark ignites devouring blaze
searing heat leaves cinders as infernos scorch and raze
rolling hills are cloaked in ash as fire burns the skies
but through the smoke and wind and dust a guardian angel flies
the pilot with nerves of steel follows lead plane ahead
red payload rains like dragon's breath to halt the fire's spread
over time the flames fall back, dusk turns to night to dawn
one fight is won, but pilot knows the war yet rages on

- Other: 2021. I know the prompt was meant to be about natural disasters but being an avgeek I couldn't resist :/ From a flying point of view aerial firefighting is insanely difficult. It always amazes me, the maneuvers these incredibly skilled pilots can do with old jetliners.

In the range of many people
There was a volcano that would erupt
Soot and ash would triple
Society it would disrupt
Ash shot into the sky
Clouding the sun and breaking light
Many people had already died
Yet this was only the beginning of this blight
Frost started to sweep us now
Bringing plague and death where it soared
From Europe to Africa, North America to Asia, it would snow
Those who survived were quite bored
An entire grueling year
Was full of volcanic bonechill
When everyone wished the sun would sear
Yet really it never will
