It costs 25k, I have 100k(ish). I want to be able to take out one of the festival witches, and it looks like my current team has nowhere near the mojo to deal with three enemies at once.

Current build:
this girl and her equipment, level 40, wind build
Health: +63
Str: +48
Int: +1 (It was first level, ok?)
Dex: +12
Agi: +36
Currently assigning based on 2/1/0/0/1
Since she was my first sylesti, her stat block was pretty much doomed - before you save enough for the second slot, you've gotta build a multi-tasking pet...

this guy and his equipment, level 36, fire build
Health: +39
Str: +0
Int: +67
Dex: +5
Agi: +33
Generally follows a 1/0/2/0/1 assortment
Level-wise he's a problem, since the witch and her specters scale to the highest pet level...

I also have a lvl 35 and a lvl 34 with no stats assigned at the moment - my current leaning is to slap the 35 with 3/1/0/0/0 and the 34 with a 1/0/2/0/1 assignment (Another fire, or possibly a light - I'm not sure whether fireball spam will work as well as I think it does...)
Enlighten me.

atm, i'm pretty sleepy, but yes, always have a 3rd party slot. general rule is to always expand party when you can. c: you'll get used to playing with 3 slots anyways.

(i realized this is 2 days old, so you probably did lol)

also, don't try to spread your stat points when allocating proficiency points in the tree.
it's more effective to stack them in one tree, rather than 3 in one tree and 1 in another.
hope it helps!

I actually hadn't bought the slot yet - thanks for giving me a little affirmation XD
The thing with the slashes is a way of indicating how I use the health/str etc. points, not proficiency points - it would be pretty awful f I was actually trying to split them that way...

Ohhh...xD

I'm used to actually calling the stats by name, because I only ever stack em in one. ;w;

Anyways, has your fighting experiences been smooth with the builds you use?

Once I added the third slot and got them all onto the same level, I was able to pound off one of the witches and her two spectres in fairly short order - so, pretty well!
I ended up making the strikers fire-based (and the tank ice based, since I didn't like earth's "come at me!" move) which was really helpful - by the time the main opponent is down, their minions tend to be chopped down to half already. The party build might not be the best for wave type formations though? I'm not really sure - I'm only just into the second zone even though my pets are 10+ levels too high for it, so everything in the main story quest goes by like a dream.

xD It's cool, the mainstream story never leaves, but I like to think to pause it for the holiday zone.

As for wave-types, you'll only ever see that on the mainstream story, but yes, you should prep yourself for it. As long as your tank is health-heavy, I don't see why you can't survive it. o:

If you're like me, I don't even bother with a tank. Pure dps all the way! :D
Why bother with healing and defensive maneuvers, when you can just reduce them to a smoldering crater in half the time! ^_^
Only my Arena sets have tank builds... I realized that I just can't muster the damage output for my usual tactic, in the arena. :(
