In the beginning...

You, just a (seemingly) ordinary Zolnixi, are minding your own business. Up until today, your life has been peaceful. In your small village of Hotakaru, not much happens out of the ordinary...

That is, until a female Zolnixi stumbles out of the woods, covered in dirt, tears rolling down her face. She calls out, distraught, begging for help. This is a situation you cannot ignore.

Once she's calmed down, this Zolnixi introduces herself as Kaila, and she claims that her sister has gone mad, and is bent on releasing a Lich, a dark being that your parents warned you of in their most horrible stories of myth and legend.

The Lich is real, and for some reason, this Khaos, Kaila's older twin sister, wants to free it.

So, what do you do?

The day is peaceful and serene -- it's high noon, and the sky is clear. There's a slight breeze blowing, but it's comfortable. Most days are like this is Hotakaru. On this average day, a Zolnixi named ____________ is... [Doing what?]

"Caktokan!" Kyro squealed as her mate pinned her down with both paws. "No fairrr! I have eggs in here." She said, pointing to her belly. "I hope they aren't as smart as you." She grumbled. "Let's get goooing!" She pleaded and pushed him away.

"Spirit catch up". "Thunder what are you doing?" "Just hurry up, c'mon". The two ran up the hill to look at the town from above. "this is my favorite spot". "this is supposed to be a watch post for the town". "I know but I enjoy this spot". "well i'm on watch today so wait hear i'm going to look for anything suspicious"."fine". The two began the day of watch.

Black ears with some red and white flicked back and forth from the den entrance. They stopped after a few times and Demon poked his head out to take a look around. Blinking to adjust to the outside light, he slowly got out from the den entrance and walked over under the shade of a tree nearby. "Quiet. That's good." He yawned and stretched. Demon had just woken up about 15 minutes ago. He usually sleeps until evening, but today he needed to get some supplies from the village. Demon looked over toward the direction of the village then tilted his head. "Maybe I'll just wait a bit. Yeah. Might as well." He thought and sat down. In truth, it wasn't that he disliked others, it was just that he was a big procrastinator.

Kumori stared at the clouds above him, back on moist grass. (It was dawn, and dew was present) "Hey, Fuyutsuki?"
The blue nixi next to him stared quizzically. "What?" She said coldly. She didn't like it when others wasted her time, unless it was a kid of course.
"Don't the clouds look beautiful? What a good day to just laze around..." Kumori replied, sighing and closing his eyes. The female nixi scoffed. "I thought you had a prank for today?"
"I did." Came the male's soft voice. "I just want to rest a bit..."
Rolling her eyes, the blue nixi dragged him up by the collar, earning a surprised yelp. "You're coming with me for a walk."

At the edge of the town, in the thicket, a few birds took flight and cawed as if flustered by something. The thicket shook a bit afterwards. Something was approaching --possibly something that could pose a threat to the village.

Suddenly, a tan nixi burst out from the brush. Exhausted and dirty, she half stumbled, half ran into town. "Someone! Please help me!" she cried. A few nixis took notice of her, but most tried to avoid her as she ran in haphazardly. "Please! We are all in danger! I need help!"

She continued through the village, and began shouting, "The Lich! She's going to release the Lich! We must stop her -- you have to help me!" She now began to cry, and crumpled to the ground in a trembling heap. "How did I allow this to happen..." she whispered.

Spirit was doing his normal job checking everything in the town. "Seems clear". "turn around". Spirit looked at the direction Thunder was facing and saw the birds flying away near the town. "Thunder, lets go". He said already heading to town,when the two got there they noticed a new person in town yelling about the Lich. "calm down I want you to tell me everything you saw". "I'll get you some water ma'am"

Demon was dozing off a bit, then his ears perked and turned in the direction of the village. "What is going on..?" He thought as he opened one eye. He heard some sort of commotion going on in the village. "Why do I live so close again..?" He wondered then he closed his eyes and stretched. Once that was done, he shook himself and started to walk to the village to see what was going on. "Better be something interesting.."

As Demon got to the village he immediately saw the three nixi. One was on the ground, and looked to be whispering to herself while the other two were around her. Seeming to tell the nixi on the ground to calm down. Demon tilted his head, interested and walked over. "What's wrong?"

"Hello Demon I usually don't see you this early". (I'm just saying they know your name) "anyway this person just wandered in she doesn't seem in good condition Spirit is trying to get her to calm down but she is kinda confused I was about to get her some water".
