Into the Wilderness

Ever wondered what happened to your Sylestis when they get released? What do they do when they're free? Who do they meet out there, in the wilderness? Follow Phantom, Strings and Nightingale as they meet new friends and enemies, as well. Into the Wilderness we go!

The Characters
Phantom

Phantom lived a solitary life after her young owner released her, calling her a 'freaky monstrosity'. Desperate for friendship, she will do anything for Sylestis who look past her spooky looks and see the broken heart inside.

Violin Duet 3
Known as 'Strings' to his friends and companions

Strings' owner promptly released him straight after hatching and a genetic test, cast him away into the wild like they did with the other project failures they bred. Strings is extremely friendly to everyone and enjoys cracking jokes and telling terrible puns to anyone who's willing to listen. Strings is fond of musical, often hanging around places where fairies and elves sing and dance.

Nightingale

Nightingale's owner decided to quit Sylestia and, because there would be no one left to feed his pets, he released all of them, including Nightingale. Nightingale never got over getting dumped by her owner. Whenever any Sylesti mentions anything remotely related to getting released, she will snap back viciously about how 'cold-hearted you are, you beast!' to be exact. Nightingale can charm most of her foes with her lyrical voice, using this power to successfully save many a Sylesti from dying mournful deaths at the hands of Nightfall Bandits and other evil beings.

Author's Note: Feel free to ping or PM me with the images and a small description of people or Sylestis you want added into the story and let's all sit back and see what happens when everyone meets!

A trio of unlikely friends
What a pretty tune, Strings, a young Kelpari thought, watching the group of faeries with colourful flutes in their hands, dancing along to the merry tune they played. He always had a liking to music the moment he first heard that soft, sweet voice in Umbra Forest singing their mournful song. Strings' luxurious, dark mane swished in the small river he was in and he dug his hooves deeper into the mud beneath to avoid getting dragged away by the current.
A soft splash behind him announced the arrival of a new Sylesti. Phantom's ghostly aura was chilling; The waters had already begun to grow cold. "They look so pleased, don't they?" The pale Faelora commented, her voice almost completely muffled behind her mask. Strings looked up at her and shivered, not because of her spooky appearances but because of the cold that had invaded the once warm river.
"Not anymore, I don't think. They're fluting away now. 'Fluting' as in 'flitting', get it?" Strings grinned at his own terrible pun.
He's not running away from me... That's unusual, Phantom wondered to herself. though before she could voice her observation, she was interrupted by a small Luffox.
"I was listening to that! Why'd you scare them all away?" Nightingale beat her feathery wings, landing lightly in front of Phantom where thin reeds grew from the riverside, glaring at the Faelora accusingly.
Why aren't either of them running away? Am I dreaming again? Phantom bashed her head on a rotting log that was floating gently downstream. Her head immediately started aching and she felt a huge headache coming. Ouch! Definitely not dreaming. Noticing the weird looks Strings and Nightingale were giving her, she quickly spoke in order to convince them of her sanity. "Just bugs in my mask," She mumbled through her skull mask.
"Bugs? Like I'll believe that," Nightingale scoffed, eyeing Phantom dubiously with her hazel eyes.
"Why don't we all introduce ourselves?" Strings cut in, worried the two Sylestis might start fighting. "I'm Strings, a Kelpari. You probably already knew what species I am though. Ms.Furry, you go next. I'm all ears." He put on a face that could nearly be thought as serious, if not for the mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
"Ms.Furry? That's the worst nickname I've ever heard." Nightingale rolled her eyes at the Kelpari. "Might as well tell you my name, it won't be good for my reputation if you kept calling me Ms.Furry. I'm Nightingale. Not very nice to meet you."
Phantom stiffened when both Sylestis turned to look at her. "Oh, um, it's my turn?" She hesitated for a moment before stammering, "I'm, uh, Phantom," She said, her ears flicking nervously.
"Great! So very nice to meet y'all!" Strings beamed at Nightingale and Phantom. "Now we're officially friends!"
"Friends?" The small Luffox echoed with a frown. "Not a chance." Strings was just about to voice some awful pun in retaliation when Phantom spoke up.
"Um, guys?" The Faelora looked up nervously. "Are those two angry Nephinis in the trees our friends too? Because they don't look that friendly...."
Strings had just opened his mouth to answer when three heavy nets fell on the trio. Small darts, tipped with some sort of sleeping potion, shot towards them and black, dark as an abyss, took hold of all three, dragging them into a deep slumber.

I have some characters to add into your story!

Zee

Zee (nicknamed eyeball scorcher by Iris), is a SUPER energetic zolnixi who loves everything about everything. She is very smart and fast, but not very stealthy and easily distracted. She kept getting new owners because of her odd power. She could turn anything she wants a VERY bright glittery pink for a few hours. After turning every single pet in his hatchery pink by accident, her last owner decided to release her. Unlike most released sylesties, she wasnt sad or bitter about it after the first few days. Then, she just went skipping along her way, chomping on some apples. And dont forget, she is the queen of pranks!

Iris

Although a first glance, her colors may suggest that she is just as bright and bubbly as Zee, Iris is actually pretty much the polar opposite of her (other than the colors of course). She hates almost everything and is really sarcastic although she tries to do the right thing. She is a mixture of all elements and is a max stat. Somehow, she got stuck with Zee who managed to become her best friend. She also seems to be particularly fond of fluffy things. Its one of the few things she likes. Kinda Weird for a grouchy, anti-social ryori right?

*Gasps* How dare they make a story without pinging the!

Hd9

Hd9 (Known be his friends as Hyro) is a mysterious, no-nonsense, ryori. He was released because he was a project reject, his stats just weren't high enough. He wanders around on his own, sometimes making sales and deals with Fire Dancer.

Fire Dancer

Fire Dancer (Known by her friends as Fire) is happy, bouncy, friendly, ecstatic, and in some sylestis eyes, downright annoying. She's a merchant and likes dealing with Hd9.

Hello there! Thanks for your interest in my story but I need to put it on hold for now while I work on various other things (including my first novel). Would you like me to ping you when I start writing this again?

Yeet, i'mma join in!

Rigel is a mystic and uplifting Griffi. They tend to watch over others, and don't take part in things directly. You could say they're neutral!

Spect-A1, more commonly known as Theia, tends to wander around. She thinks in an erratic and shattered manner, often saying things that make no sense. In fact, she was part of a transgenic experiment that transferred Ryori genes into Nephinies. Due to this, she has Ryori orbs, partially glowing eyes, and is partially incorporeal. Most other Nephinies believe those who were involved in the experiment are monsters, and thus reject her.

Lunaolmeia tends to kidnap sylesti eggs to experiment on them. She's the magical equivalent of a mad scientist, and will lash out at anyone who opposes her. Her latest experiment transferred genes from all fabled species into Nephinies. Due to the nature of those genes, most Nephini offspring died. She's on the lookout for Theia, as that Nephini was one of the only ones who survived.
