I might think of some better title for it later... I'm not too good at starting things, but I can try!

***

Destiny was glad she had Anthony with her. If he hadn't been with her, she probably would have died three times over. Wasn't her fault for being loud, right? Ok, it probably was her fault for alerting any danger near them a few minutes ago when she was a bit too noisy as she crashed into a wall of a house when she had teleported to the wrong place again. Hey, at least she was getting better at it! She wasnt too far off now, only around a block away instead of a whole town over. She laughs nervously and smiles at Anthony, hoping he wasn't be too mad at her for being something of a magnet for unwanted attention.

Meanwhile, Payton was trying to ignore the waves of energy and cheer coming from Alex since he was perfectly content feeling tired and worn out for a few moments. He nibbles on a slice of bread, staring at the show Alex was putting on for literally no reason other than to entertain himself.
"Come on, Payton. You've got to save the empire from the evil ruler and keep him from being crowned. I can help you!" Alex says, eagerly tugging on Payton's arm and dragging him to stand next to the illusions that were the 'evil ruler' and ensemble were. Payton watches Alex bounce around the room before falling back. He didn't wanting to play right now and since Alex had done his job for him, he didn't see any reason to stay up on 'stage'.

(I thought I might give you a tiny bit of insight into my characters uwu. Ant + Destiny are in an apartment building that Ant has the key to (it was his home) they find plenty of food and things to survive on in the 16 story building. Dream lives on the move, staying wherever he wants for the nights. He has no problem keeping himself alive, as he adapts well and is very smart. Zak was a rich kid, and he lived in one of the biggest houses on the outside of town. There's a huge oak tree behind his house with a huge treehouse in it. That's where he stays. PM'ing you pics of what my characters look like (yes, Dream always wears his mask))

Ant:
I look at Destiny as she clatters through the building. I roll my eyes and smile a tiny bit.
"Destiny, did you finish pulling the weeds on the rooftop garden?" I ask her, cutting up a cucumber. "I figure, as long as we take good care of the veggies, they'll last longer into wintertime."
(they grow fruits and veggies uwu. The wholesome duo is among us xD)

Clay (Dream):
I dart quietly through the streets, my axe slung across my back. My eyes dart about from behind my mask as I look for food. I see a swish of movement across the street. I reach my hand behind my back, and then let out a sigh of relief as I see that it's just a cat. I kneel down and scratch it behind its ears.
I find a convenience store and pull out a can of spaghetti-o's, popping it open with ease and looking around. I see a high-rise apartment building. Probably a hotspot for zombies. I'll try and get to the edge of town, maybe there's something for me out there. Though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check the apartments...

Zak (Skeppy):
My skin had begun to itch as of late. Especially my spine and upper arms. It felt like my mouth back when I was in middle school and I was waiting for my adult teeth to grow in in the place where my baby ones had fallen out. I look out at the still yard and beyond it, the still town.

(Sweet!)

Destiny falls back onto the couch. Her short hair was usually kept out of her face with a headband, a brilliant splash of color. When she flopped back, her headband and hair had fallen into her eyes. "Yup! Done and done." She nods, laughing quietly as she sits up and pushes her headband back in place to keep her hair in check. Destiny then asks from her position on the couch if Ant needed any help. She relayed the information that she didn't want to have to get up, go over, and then have to sit back down again if Ant didn't need any help.
(Very smart, yes uwu)

Payton opened the door to his house, calling back to Alex as he swings his satchel over a shoulder and slips his pocket knife into his pocket, "I'm going to go scavenge for food... Or something. I don't know. If I don't come back in an hour or so, assume I got turned into a zombie."
"Ok. Stay safe. No dying allowed. No becoming zombified either; it's not healthy." Alex says, racing up to Payton and giving him a hug in farewell just as he did when greeting someone. Alex laughs after a moment and hurries to gather his things, "What am I thinking? I can come with you!"
Alex then dashes out the door, making sure Payton kept with him. Payton squeaks in surprise as Alex grabs his arm and pulls him along. Payton stumbles for quite a while before he falls, and gets dragged a few feet until he could get his feet under him. Payton tries to keep up with Alex's childish yet surprisingly fast skip. So much for trying to be alone for a few minutes and take a calm walk around the neighborhood.

Ant:
I giggle at Destiny.
"Watch this," I say, wiggling my eyebrows. I pick up two more knives from the counter and juggle them for a few seconds, before catching them and placing them back on the counter.
"Whattya think of that?" I ask.

Dream:
I slowly walk towards the building, pulling out my axe as I silently crouch over to the building. I attempt to turn the doorknob.
'What the hell? It's locked?' I think to myself. I roll my eyes and move to check a window. Lo and behold, the first window I try slides right open. I creep upstairs and make it onto the roof. I see a vegetable garden. I look at it in shock. The dirt is freshly tilled and the crops seem to be well cared for.
Somebody's been here. Within the last hour.

Zak:
I sigh and desperately attempt to itch my back. The pain and itchiness has been getting worse.

Destiny watches with bated breath as Ant juggles the knives. When he finishes, she applauds, "That's super cool! Can you teach me how to do that?" She sucks in a breath between her teeth as she imagined what would become of her fumbling over a knife. "Never mind, that would most likely end up with knives flying everywhere and or someone bleeding out." She shakes her head and decided to be content with being able to watch Ant juggle knives. It was fun to watch, anyways.

Payton and Alex trekked around the neighborhood. Alex wasn't allowing Payton any peace and quiet, chatting up a storm enough for the two of them. Payton trudged along, hoping to fall behind. However, Alex was not going to leave him, he slowed down to match Payton's pace.

Ant:
I chuckle again.
"That's probably a good idea, though I could teach you how to juggle something less dangerous if you'd like," I say.

Dream:
I creep back down the stairs, looking for another sign that there are people here. I get my answer when I hear an explanation of surprise, coming from a floor below me. I quickly and quietly move to the door, my axe at the ready. I can hear a conversation going on inside, between a boy and a girl it seems. I slowly test the doorknob. It's unlocked. With one swift motion and my axe held in a defensive position, I swing the door open.

Zak:
I itch my left arm with my right. What he hell is that under my skin. I roll up my sweater paws to look at my arm. There's something hard underneath it that feels like bone, but I'd know if my arm was broken.

"Ooh, yes, that sounds great! Thank you!" Destiny grins at Ant. She gets up and looks for something else to juggle. Meanwhile, she hums a song. She was usually humming, singing, or tapping out the beat to one song or another. "Like this?" Destiny shows Ant the items she had collected when Dream barged in. The first thing she noticed was the axe he held. She trips over her feet when she backs up, almost falling.

Payton and Alex were now walking along the outside of town near Zak's home. Payton was repeatedly reminding Alex to keep quiet, but the later didn't seem to be able to hear him over his own chatter.

Ant:
I yelp and fall backwards as the boy with the mask barges into our home. I fumble and grab a knife off the counter. I then quickly move to stand in front of destiny. I may be about the same size as her, but I'm older than her, and I'll protect her with all I've got.

Dream:
I sigh when I see the people are just kids, like me. I let the tip of my axe fall onto the floor.
"Sorry for the intrusion," I grumble, turning to leave. I adjust my long, black fingerless gloves.

Zak:
I leave my arm alone as I hear people chatting. Well, one person talking, but I don't think he's talking to himself. I peer over the edge of my treehouse balcony and I see two boys - about my age approaching.

Destiny
I am a bit confused about why he was going to leave after seeing someone else that wasn't zombified. Why wouldn't he be glad to see us? What did he want? What had he been expecting? "Wait! It's fine. Don't go just yet. It's ok. Do you need anything?" I ask Dream. "Want something to eat?" He wasn't attacking us, and I figure he would have already if he wanted to. So, might as well be a good host and make sure his stay is enjoyable.

(Sorry for this being long. I might have gotten carried away...)
Payton
Waves of words crash in never ending surges, breaking against my head and submerging me under them again and again, never allowing me time to surface and get the air I so desperately need. I fall back against the fence, putting my hands to my head as I try to get myself to calm down and drown out Alex's voice for a moment as I regain the composure I fear I am about to break. For some reason, the guy just won't shut up!
I finally snap. I'm not listening to his words. They all sound the same: an annoying endless flow of words that never meant anything. After weeks of holding it in, I let my frustration get the best of me and I make a grave mistake.
"Alex if you don't stop talking, I'll rip your tongue out of your mouth so you'll never be able to talk again!" I boom, my outburst was a clap of thunder smacking Alex across the cheek before the figurative storm broke.
I let loose a torrent of words that should never have been said. In my blind anger, I say untrue things that I know will hurt Alex, using unnecessary violent threats as I yell at him. At the time, I am really fed up and I'm not thinking clearly, though this shouldn't justify my actions; the first time I realize I have gone too far is when I grab Alex's arm, causing him to flinch away from me, and his emotions whirl around me in a sudden gust. He feels distraught and hurt, deeply wounded by the words I carelessly threw about. I had caused him to fear me.
I fall back, an apology already on my lips. My apology falls on deaf ears as I find myself amidst a zombie herd that has come to watch the spectacle and devour the survivor.
By this time, I feel numb. My burst of anger abandons me, leaving me feeling shaky and weak.

Alex
I noticed Payton fall against the fence, tired and worn out. This is the first time I've seen him that way and, to be completely honest, I am concerned. I am by his side in an instant, trying to make sure everything is ok.
"Are you ok? Do you want to go back? Are you cold? Here, have my jacket." I take off my jacket and hang it over his shaking shoulders. I never took off my jacket so I felt a bit exposed, but if it helped Payton, I was willing to give it up. "Let's go home-" I am taken aback when Payton turns on me, grabbing my shoulders in a tight grip.
"Alex, if you don't stop talking, I'll rip your tongue out of your mouth so you'll never be able to talk again!" He snarls, letting go of me for a moment. I feel smaller than I already am. I've never seen him this angry before.
"Payton, I-" I shut up so he doesn't follow through with his threat. I think he's too angry to notice I spoke, though, since he keeps on ranting.
His words hurt, too, more than any physical blow, though they made me act in the same way. One verbal accusation is a punch to the gut that takes my breath away. This one is the most true of them all, though, since I don't do as much as Payton does and I don't seem to stop talking. The next is a savage blow to my nose, causing tears to spring up in my eyes. I don't care if this tale is true or not. It still hits me. And it hits me hard.
I shake in quiet sobs, silent tears running down my face, as Payton continues to yell at me. I didn't mean to be as terrible person as he depicted me to be. When he reaches for me, I flinch away, afraid he'd hurt me. He backs up and his words of hate stop. I break free before he could resume to call me out. I run away as fast as I can, shoving zombies out of the way as I make a wild dash back to the place I called home.

(It's no problem~ I love reading the longer posts :D
Say, do you prefer longer or shorter posts? Cause I can change how much I write if need be~)

Ant:
"Uhm... Right! You can stay!" I say to him, putting down my knife and turning back to look at him.
"Do you have a name? And how did you find us?" I ask the masked boy in the green hoodie.

Dream:
"Call me... Dream," I say, pulling my hood further down over my face. "And I found you by the garden on the roof. I went up there to get a good vantage point, to see where I should travel next. I'm from a few towns away. I noticed that the dirt in the garden was freshly tilled and there were dirty footprints leading to a few floors above this. After that I just followed my ears," I say with a shrug
"Yall're really loud," I mumble.

Zak:
I notice the two kids yelling, before one runs off, crying. I hop over the ledge of the treehouse and roll when I hit the ground. It's a skill I've perfected over the last month or so. I dart past the boy leaning on the fence and after the one who ran into the city, pulling my machete from my waist and catching him around the wrist.
"It's not safe out here, come with me," I say, before dragging him behind me into my treehouse. I slide my machete back into my waistband, glad I didn't have to use it.
"Do you have a name? I'm Zak, but you can call me Skeppy if you'd like," I say with a kind smile, pushing my hair out of my face. "I'm not sure what happened to your... companion. He was there when I went to get you, but gone when I brought you back here," I say.
"This is my home, by the way. Make yourself comfy, I'll go get you some food," I run off to the pantry and grab a can of spaghetti-o's.
