So I know the egg drop rate is supposed to be a rarer thing, which is perfectly understandable. I do feel maybe some sort of boost or milestone to help those who are working hard to keep ToTing who are getting very unlucky with RNG

Two options chat thought might be nice was either..

1. A milestone egg (after making x amount of candies, obviously a higher number like 200-300 or something) that allows a guaranteed chance at finding one of the possible eggs or receiving an egg after completing (similar to the task rewards and the bonus eggs from Patriotic fest) after doing so much work even if you can't get one to drop at random

2. After each candy opens (or x amount of candies), if no egg drops then the % slightly increases each time so that the more ToTing and candy making you do, the higher chance of one of the available eggs dropping (similar to how using perfumes works)

I feel like either of these options would be a great way to keep players encouraged to dealing out candy to ToTers as well as knocking at doors, as I know personally I have gone through about 400 candies so far with no egg along with some other players and it can be pretty disheartening, especially when others find eggs within the first 20 candies

EDIT: just got my first egg, but still 431 candies to get it

Support. I managed to find 1 egg after 242 candies, which I know is even less than you.
I've seen people who say they've gotten 2-3 eggs and have just reached the 200 candy mark.
