I know this is very, very specific, however for a project I need a vaguely threatening pun relating to strings or puppets that's appropriate.

If anyone has one, I would appreciate it, I am struggling XD

A string walks into a bar...
The bartender says, Im sorry, but we dont serve strings here.

The string goes back to his table. He ties himself in a loop and messes up the top of his hair. He walks back up to the bar and orders a beer.

The bartender squints at him and says, Hey, arent you a string?

The string says, Nope, Im a frayed knot.

(This is probably really cringy)

Hey are you a string because I'm head over nots for you!(If you don't understand then you are still innocent)
