my pet

refuses to be released, each time I attempt to the pop up to release them pops up saying I have the name wrong. I copied the name that was listed as their name and tried again for the same result.

Two things might have happened.
1. if you didn't copy and paste, did you capitalize the R in ruby? I believe that the field is case sensitive.
2. If you did copy and paste (I know you said you did, but not sure if you did it all the times you tried to release), did you make sure there weren't leading or trailing spaces? Sometimes copy/paste will catch or add a trailing space or sometimes a leading space, and if you have that, it will come up as invalid name. (or at least I am pretty sure)
If all else fails, and you really want the pet gone, you can set it up to my ID for 1 gold and I can see if I can release the pet.

I attempted to do as you said and it did not seem like there were any spaces but the problem persists. set the put up for you for 1 gold (thanks for taking them off of my hands).

The problem was actually the opposite of what I said :P
The name of the pet HAD a trailing space. So, putting just 'ruby' without the space didn't work, but putting 'ruby ' with the trailing space worked...
Anyway, the qit is off frolicking with the pets I have released, happy and healthy :)
You're welcome, I know the frustration of having something that *should* work, but doesn't, and with trailing spaces, it can be very difficult to tell, because you have to highlight things.. (I double clicked the name to get it all and then copy/pasted, because when 'ruby' didn't work, I started thinking, could pet names have trailing spaces? and yes, they can)

You're welcome.
I completely sympathize :) And as I said, it is so hard to detect, especially when, for me at least, highlighting the entire name usually gives me that trailing space being highlighted, so it isn't easy to tell.
