Of the 6 elements in Sylestia, Light is very clearly the odd one out here. It's the only element that can heal other party pets. In return, it receives some harsh drawbacks. Only two of its skills deal any sort of damage. Its skills have the highest mana cost among the elements. However, two light element skills seem rather underpowered in my opinion. I'll talk about skill 4 first.

Light element skill 4 grants an effect to all party pets that will keep each pet from dying by splitting health among all party pets and healing all pets a significant amount. This will also activate when the effect expires. My main problem with this skill is that it's very situational. While I agree that if used at the correct time, the effect is indeed powerful, it often could result in no meaningful effect. Additionally, if you handle the pet with the light element correctly, you shouldn't really need this skill too often, due to other powerful healing light has access to. One of those is skill 3, but I have a few issues with that one too.

Light element skill 3 simply heals a party pet for 200% magical damage. Nothing more, nothing less. While this is effective, it's very basic and arguably worse than the 3rd skill of other elements. It's also the lone 3rd skill that doesn't cause some special status. This makes it very strange among 3rd skills.

Of these 2 skills, I'm not fully sure how the 4th skill would be changed. Something to keep it more consistent and less situational would be good. Some amount of damage (not on par with fire or wind damage, but enough to be at least relevant) could give light element pets something else to do when no healing is needed.

For the 3rd skill, you could keep the current healing of the skill, but add some kind of buff to the targeted party pet to give it something to put it on par with other 3rd skills.

I'm fully aware it isn't my place to tell the people in charge how the game should work, but I wanted to voice my thoughts on these things.

Well, Light is a support-type element? It's use in teams is primarily Party Healer, secondarily Tank. The only other element that can heal other party members is Water with Ice Sphere and Ice Barrier (which requires the enemy to actually attack the pet with the shield in order to get the healing)- In fact, Light's abilities are what make it a staple of the vast majority of teams.

Divine Balance is situational, but so are Water's and Earth's 4th abilities (Ice Sphere and Sneering Howl) by that measure? Neither of them can damage an enemy either. Decimate is also 'situational', in that there's no point using it until the enemy has <50% health, most of the time.

Restoration does gain a Buff once it's rank4 (R4 restoration heals 300% MDamage, costs 20 mana, and, grants Restoration buff for 3 turns, which heals the target pet for 50% MD per turn)
(it gets the buff at rank 4 because rank 2 gives it the heal% increase and rank 3 drops the mana cost)

They're abilities for being used in a pinch, and most of the time Beam and Fairy Light can cover any healing needed, and what more is needed than that, really?

(and at least light gets a buff to the amount of mana that Beam generates from +10 to +15, poor earth is stuck generating +10 forever, even rank 5 once is made available)

That's our take on it anyway.
