The first thing I note is that you have got the Wrong kind of Relic on each of the two of them.

There are two 'kinds' of element, Magical and Physical
Water, Earth, and Air use the Physical Damage and Strength stats
Light, Shadow, and Fire use Magical Damage and Intelligence stats

Physical element pets use their Physical Damage stat to calculate the effectiveness of their attacks, and do not use the Magical Damage stat at all.
Magical elements likewise use Magical Damage stat to calculate THEIR attacks and don't use the Physical Damage stat at all

At the moment your Water pet has an Evoker Relic- Evoker equips are Int/Dex, and used primarily for Fire attackers and Light Healers (and possibly Shadow attackers)- while your Shadow pet has a Myrmidon Relic- which are Str/Dex and used by Air attackers (and possibly by those rare few Water Buffers or Water attackers)

(so basically, your shadow pet calculates her attack damage off of her 79 magical damage rather than the relic-boosted 125 phys damage stat, and your water pet is calculating with his 64 phys damage stat rather than the relic-boosted 108 magic damage stat)

Team builds usually consist of Tank/Healer/Attacker*, though as you at this point only have two slots available have to make do
I'd say if you want to go with these elements, probably you want your water pet as tank and shadow as attacker, so
Water Tanks should get Assassin equips (Str/Agi- Agility is used by tanks because it boosts their Evasiveness and Defenses)
Shadow Attackers should get Evoker equips (Int/Dex- Dexterity raises Accuracy and Critical Hit Chance)

The equips are probably also too low of a level and too low rarity for the pet's levels- since they're lv25+, I'd suggest equipping them with lv25 legendary gear (you can get them from lv25/ very hard esior's haven mission satchels. They can also be gotten for pretty good prices from the Trade Broker because of this)
Uncommon equips are a Never thing because they're Garbage, rares are okay but not great typically.

* Tank elements: Earth, Water, Shadow, sometimes Light
Healer: Light (sometimes Water Buffer instead)
Attackers: Fire, Air (rarely Shadow, more rarely Water)
