I would like to make another account so I can go through the campaign/story mode again. Would that go against the game's guidelines or is it allowed?

Only one account is allowed per person. You can see all the rules about this, and other things, here (the rule regarding number of accounts is the very first one).

In that case, how do I delete an account? I made an extra a while back and I did not mean to go against the guidelines; I should have paid attention.

You can't delete an account, but if you message Krinadon and explain the situation, he can lock the extra account for you.
