Luminesce

"All shadows whisper of the sun."
-Emanuel Carnevali

Status: Drafting

A sci-fi project revival thread I've been sitting on for a very long while, just here for now to remind me to make the group a thing..

Come back in a month or so. I need to finish one thread at a time. ;>
This'll just be dm idea dumps for now until I can get this all organized into something coherent.

Theme:
You are an explorer to the Zeta-17 system, a strange ripple in space that contains a small system of planets and remnants of a magical civilization long gone, save for strange portals between other planets in the system. Your craft has since been marooned by an unknown, haunting force and the caverns that once seemed so barren now seem to invite those stranded here to their deaths. Your objective is simple.

Survive, overcome, and find your way back home.

Zeta System planets:
Lestea

A sparsely inhabited planet with an eerie atmosphere. The surface of Lestea is dark and can be rather chilly. There are many caves over its surface lined with strange writings, artifacts, and ancient technologies.

Cetani

A large, actively volcanic planet with a somewhat hot surface. Its glowing, magma core can be seen through the surface, emitting a critical amount of light to its neighboring planets. Its surface is rather craggy and mountainous, thanks to many basalt deposits built up over years of eruptions.

Taeri

A marshy planet in a seemingly perpetual state of low-lying fog. Taeri is temperate to muggy at best, experiencing limited starlight due to the positioning of other planets in the system. It receives most of its life sustaining heat and light from its close neighbor planet, Cetani.
Despite the limited light, a wide variety of glowing, seemingly mystical fungi and plantlife has taken to the surface, carefully cultivated and mantained by the Bespan colonists who call the planet home.

Seitov

The brightest and smallest planet of the cluster, Seitov has a rather dry, arid climate with vast canyons and minimal plantlife. It is one of extremes, hot days only relieved by with bitter cold nights.
