So I thought that usimg the "salvage" option would use the Lunemara Sunlit Beach I have but apparently it dissapear? So... Let me guess, it meant "discard"? XD

I just want to know if it gone for good as I right after get that I needed to actually click on the sand box. I'm not a native speaker so something like that was bound to happen.

Edit: by looking at my inventory I see that I have now salvage cataclyst. But I still dont know why the word salvage is use in this context. Salvage from my searchs seems to ne something like "save something" and it feel more like we killed a soul thingy, and that we need to kill two more just so we can have one other thing.

"salvaging" catalysts means, as you saw, turning them into salvaged catalysts, which you can combine several of to get a new random new catalyst of the same rarity.

As the text says when you click to salvage "You will receive a [Salvaged Catalyst (Regular)] and this Catalyst will be removed.
You can combine 3x [Salvaged Catalyst (Regular)] to receive a random brand new Regular Catalyst."

The function is so you can take catalysts that you don't want and combine them for the chance to get one you do want (although sometimes the results leave you entirely exasperated, since it IS random.)
You can think of the catalysts more as things that contain an aura/essence of the theme they create, rather than them being living things that are somehow 'killed' by salvaging- Spring uses seeds, for example. Fall uses things like horns and fangs and feathers and the like.


In order to use catalysts, you need to purchase a sandbox (there are two that are permanent, and you just need to pay the 5k gold to put sand in them per use, extra one-use ones have to be bought)
Once your sandbox has sand in it, you click it and it will pring up a list of catalysts from which you can select which catalyst that you own to use.
