A D&D home brewed adventure, based on Out Of The Abyss. This RPG will require you to create a D&D character sheet, and to have knowledge of how the game is played. This RPG is not meant for people who have never played D&D before.
Your character will begin in a cell deep in the Underdark, having been captured by drow. In your signup you will be required to tell how you got here. Perhaps you were ambushed in your home on the surface, searching for a friend in the caves near your home, or even a drow accused of crimes and thrown in with the slaves.
~Character Creation~ Available Classes: All classes in the PHB are available, as well as the Revised Ranger.
Available Subclasses: All subclasses in the PHB, DMG, and XGtE.
Available Races: All races in the PHB, VGtM, and MToF.
Available Backgrounds: Any background, can choose 2 skills of choice as long as you provide how your character gained proficiency in them.
You can choose to use point buy or the standard set for ability scores. Do not roll for stats.
You begin at level 1.
Please create a backstory. It does not have to be twenty pages long (it can, if you want), a paragraph or two will suffice.

(As running a full party would be difficult with everyone being online at a different time, I am opting to have everyone create a character and meet NPCs that will act as party members, if that works for you.)
The clearing is filled with faint silvery moonlight. A commanding voice can be heard in the distance, though not of a language that is familiar to you. Voices pleading in Common filter through the trees, and a single scream and the crack of a whip echoes through the night. The pleading stops, and the only noises that can be heard is the faint sounds of moving feet.

Concerned by the scream, Balasar walks quickly in the direction of the scream.

A group of commoners stands in the clearing ahead, surrounded by dark figures. Elvish figures with dark skin surround the weeping and cowering peasants. Several are riding large lizards, while some are prodding the newly caught slaves onward. A female drow with long white hair shouts unintelligible words and gestures with her long, dark staff.
