Did anyone see this movie already? If yes did you like it? Or where there parts you loved and parts you didn't care about? Was it funny?

How was the oc character Tauriel? As you feared? As you hoped? (please no hating, if she was to Marry Sue or was not to your liking it's ok to say so, but keep in a nice tone for those who do like her. I know I am not fond of marry sue they make her seem...there are many things that botter me about her (not that she is an oc but rather that they took to many liberties with her.) However as a person who has not yet seen the film I will keep my final opinion till after the movie. I think despite all the things I hate they did with her, I will still like her as a character. ..but agail I'll wait and see. :P

It. Was. AMAZING!!!

I can't express my amazement at it's awesomeness in words. It was so cool! I loved pretty much every part of it. It was quite hilarious at some points!

Tauriel is possibly my favorite character now. I dunno though, she'd have to beat Legolas. Which she may do because Legolas seems very.....heartless?... in the movie. He's a lot more compassionate in Lord of the Rings. His father is horrible. I hate him. Thranduil can go and get killed by Smaug for all I care. I'm just afraid that Tauriel is gonna die!

Haha, me and my BFF were fangirling over Legolas the whole movie. xD

Just wondering, who's your favorite Dwarf? I love Kili, he's my second favorite character (Legolas and Tauriel tie for the first), I was panicking when he got shot and then almost died!

I just saw it last night. I liked the first movie better, but it was still fantastic!

I really liked Tauriel. I think she's great! Though I was disappointed that her plot line kind of ended up revolving around a love triangle (I know there's more to it then that, but it was the main focus). I kind of think it was an injustice to her character. Just 'cause she's a lady doesn't mean there's gotta be a bunch of romantic drama, ya know? But idk I just hate love triangles in general so maybe I'm overreacting. In any case, I hope to see a lot more of her in the next movie.
Also her hair is fab.

Everlost, I think the reason Legolas seemed a bit colder and grumpier is because he's only just now left to start exploring the world. He's been cooped up with his father up until now so of course he'd be a little "heartless" lol xD
Thranduil was actually one of my favorite characters though. I know he's a jerk but I think his character is very interesting and the actor did a fantastic job.

Also, during the barrel scene when they were floating down the river, all I could think was, "that must have been hella fun to film."
Seriously, it looked like an amusement park ride!...Well, minus the getting shot at part...

And my favorite dwarf is Balin. c:

I don't think it was all that much of a love triangle. I mean, I didn't really like the fact that Kili was in love with her and all that crap, but I don't think she's in love with him all that much. I'm pretty sure she's got her heart set on Legolas. She probably sees Kili as more of a friend. Though, she does seem kinda affectionate about him. I dunno.

You're probably right about Legolas. Thranduil ain't exactly the life of the party. xD

That was probably the funniest scene in the whole movie. I almost passed out laughing when Legolas started jumping around on dwarf heads!

Balin is pretty cool. :) Not as cool as Kili and Fili, though. I really liked how we found out that one of them (don't remember who) was Gimley's dad. I was like.....O_O. Yup. I could definitely see the resemblance.

Gloin is Gimli's dad! I wanted to be all, "Don't be hatin' Legolas that lil guy's going to be your BFF one day."

I love that song! I was so happy I finally got to hear it on the huge loud movie speakers aaaaah it sounded amazing!!

I've been listening to it nonstop since I saw the movie. xD It's just so amazing!

That's all right, but I'm less fond of you expressing how horrible Thranduil is. I read the book and actually understand why Thranduil is the way he is. I even agree with him not helping the dwarves when Smaug attacked. I'm willing to explain why but in PM because this should not be a place for debates :P

So I feel a but uncomfortable when there is hating of any character, and I added the request that people don't go hating of any character here.

I for one wasn't very fond of Thorin..not in the book and not in the first movie. But I won't rant on why I don't like him because I know he is loved by many others.


As for my fave dwarf I'm an oldy :P I still like Gimli the best, but from the new bunch I Like Bofur and then Fili best and I also love Balin and then bombur (but to be fair most of the other dwarves didn't really get much chance to be loved because they had little to do or had little special scenes. So who knows, if the others get more screentime I will love them too. Kili doesn't look like a dwarf, not even a young one so He doesn't count for me :P I like him as a character. But I dislike him as a dwarf. He is no dwarf, he is made handsome in a human way for the fangirls :P I once saw a drawing of older Fili and kili with beards though and I loved him as a dwarf there. he looked cool. (as a dwarf :P)

i do wonder if he would have this many fans if he did have more beard though... :3


I loved Legolas in the original movies but to be honest I loved the whole fellowship! Aragorn Legolas Gimli Gandalf Frodo Sam Merry Pippin Boromir where all wonderfull characters who all got their fair share for screen time and devolpmemt...so sad boromir died.. But what I loved most was Legolas his friendship with Gimli and all the fun moments they had on screen together.

So I think I am not going to Like what they did withTauriel because she is going to take away some of that shine. They where uniek for becomming friends and it sounds like Tauriel is stealing the spotlight of the friendship that made Gimli and Legolas so awesome.....So I really hope she isn't made to ''perfect'' because I really don't like Marry sue's.

I'm worried now, about Legolas. I was happy he was back but if he only was added to make Tauriel look cool I would have prefferd they kept him out..


I'm going sunday so I will see....lets hope for the best :P
